A flash of red. With incredible reflexes, Rathius catches Max's arm, which is half transformed with red feathers. Rathius frowns.

Max grins mischievously and says, "Dragon!"

Rathius, surprised by the sudden attack, does not notice his scarf being cut by Max's claw on her wing. It falls down, revealing his marks.

Emily shouts, "Hey!" And slaps Max on her head. She giggles and jumps back, out of Rathius's grip.

Emily half smiles at Rathius. "So you are a dragon. It's been ages since one left the island... Daruk Liva, was it?"

 

Rathius:"Daruk Lytha. So what, is it a bad thing to leave home once in a while?"

 

"Does this mean we have to fight both the Witch and Envy?" Fen'ris asks, drawing both his knives.

 

"What are you going to do?" I say to the amazons

 

"Oh boy..." I stop to see what's going on.

 

"Max, there was no need to do that! People aren't generally too kind to dragons... I can see why he'd keep it quiet."

 

Ok, I couldn't come up with a character.. screw it, count me out.

 

Max folds her arms. "He was being fussy about it. If he's a dragon, there's nothing he can do about it. Besides, do you think monsters like us care?"

Emily snickers. "I'm not one."

Rathius shakes his head. "I can't see spiritual energy."

"Well, do we look like ordinary humans?" Max asks him. Rathius shakes his head. "So what, is it a bad thing to leave home once in a while?" he asks Emily.

"No, not at all." Emily says. "In fact, I'm glad some still care about the outside world. Don't the dragons watch the air for anyone that goes out?"

Rathius nods. "How do you know about this?" Asakeryu asks.

"Hanging out with a royalty really is good for you." Emily says, smiling. "You learn things."

"Yeah well..." Rathius scratches his head. "I kinda sneaked out with human sailors."

Darwin coughs. "These dragon talks aren't important. You came here to get treatment or not?"

"Oh right." Emily says.

"You, dragon." Darwin motions at Rathius. "You're low on energy."

"I'm not..." Rathius starts to say, but the man leans over and touches the dragon's forehead. Rathius blinks, surprised that his body felt so light. He has been so occupied from the fight and flight, that he didn't realise how tired he actually was.

Darwin walks around each of them and gives them energy. As Darwin works on the Hellbirds, Asakeryu asks Rathius, "So what, you dropped that pale boy from the air?"

Rathius shakes his head. "We were attacked."

Asakeryu and Emily look st each other, alarmed. "By who?" Asakeryu asks.

"These two people named Pride and Gluttony."

The others look at each other nervously.

 

Rathius:"Something the matter?"

"Seems like so." Luratos murmurs. "We can't forget the monster that the Witch is awakening."

The red energy clears: the Calamity Witch stands next to a dark haired girl with large, almond shaped black eyes. She wears a ragged, grey dress and stands barefoot.

They talk for a moment. Then the Calamity Witch faces Envy, and says something. The Sin starts to complain, but the Witch touches the green haired girl on her shoulder. Crows appear from thin air, surrounding the two. As the birds fly away, the Witch and Envy are gone.

"Or not." Fen'ris mutters.

"She's the monster?" Trianna asks. "She's not the Scorpion King."

Jenna turns pale. She stammers. "No.. way!"

"What?" Mike asks. Just then, sounds of a million things rustling against the ground. From the ground in the runes, thousands of centipedes burrow their way out into the air. They all heads towards the girl, who stands alone, grinning ear to ear.

"This doesn't feel good." Scar mutters.

The centipedes crawl up the girl, surrounding her. Soon, tens of thousands of centipedes crawl over each other, forming an enormous mound.

Jenna's body starts to tremble. Luratos places his hands on her shoulders, looking extremely alarmed.

A dark shape rises from the mound, sending centipedes flying into the air. A huge thing rises, shaking its legs and blades.

The girl's lower body has been completely transformed. Black gleaming shells cover her long body, from which sprouts a hundred legs. Occasionally from her body, huge scythes come out, dripping with black liquid.

The squad gasps. They start to take steps back. Jenna looks like she is about to cry. "This one is no Scopio." She says, her voice having lost all hope. "She is no S class. The hundred legged centipede princess, Sylphaxaura. Her class is higher than any S class monster."

 

This is gonna go well. Can I like shoot lightning at her or would that be a bad idea?

 

"You failed again, Lynn." An Amazon girl, with fair skin and silky black hair, says with a smile. "Why can't you kill anything? You didn't even hit the woman."

The dark skinned girl, who must be Lynn, comes forward. Some of the Amazons, who stand with the girl who had spoken, giggles.

Lynn, ignoring the others, squats down in front of Ventus. On her shoulder is the fairy. "Linava's magic neutralised you. You won't be able to summon your true form for long."

"Oh, kill it already!" The girl says behind Lynn.

She turns back at the girl, glaring. "Just so you know, Veliana, he was fighting that woman when we arrived."

Veliana snorts, but does not reply. Lynn pulls Ventus up, not looking at him in the eyes.

Sylphaxaura looks at her hands, examining them, then her centipede body.

"She killed hundreds... no, thousands of lives when she was last awake 500 years ago. Nicolas Shade and the Legends only managed to seal her with a cost of a hundred and thirty soldiers."

Description: Tall, very pale. Skinny frame, and dark hair. Scars on his hands and face.

Backstory: Back in the tower, Abro used to be a cleaning boy, since his magic wasn't very strong. He was tending to the vials and flasks when a corruption assault hit the tower, and in the commotion, one of the flasks knocked over. He panicked, and ran out of the room. By the time he was down the stairs, the entire floor he was on was in flames. He was about to get the other mages, but then, he heard a cry for help. It sounded like a woman. Realizing she would perish if he did nothing, he, either bravely or foolishly, ran back into the flames. Try as he might, he couldn't get to the woman. With a surprising strength, he unleashed a hidden power inside him, and coated the entire room in ice, while also extinguishing the flames. But when he found the woman, all that was left was a corpse. This scarred him for years, and he hid in the tower until now.

Others: Carries with him a necklace that the family of the woman gave him in honour of him trying to save her.

"Uuuh sorry , who? I really have a bad memory" Then i remember a talk i had years ago with my friend , about some forest monster , witch or anything like that waking "Geez , six years run fast" I slap myself in the face for letting the theme change and then say "Ok i remember them . Can you tell me what ya got?" . I lean forward and whisper to her "I got an idea of how strong the people running this organisation are , since i heard a tale of a witch . And i got to say , its not an idea that i like." I go back to my chair , with the expression way more serious then my normal , then i close my eyes , take a deep breath and then return to my normal smiling face of everyday
