Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Seeing as Sivius is doing something else, Crystal looks around for the bird.

I decide to lay down, relaxing.

 

Sivius seems to get into a defensive position and never move, but the dummy gets pulverized almost rhythmically every ten seconds, or until it stops regenerating.
The twilight burning in his eyes is a bit unsettling to watch.

The bird's watching the group from a tree branch off the island.

The door slams shut as you go back to the ruins, the night crew mostly keeping watch for danger as the night eventually passes...

In the morning, Allen seems to resume his search for other old tools after sampling a ration, not eating most of it.

 

Shadow Stephanie seems rather intriguied by both Sivius and his twilight eyes, eventually stopping her practise to simply watch Sivius, smiling.

 

Upon closer inspection, he seems to be using a mix of light and dark magic; he's not teleporting, yet cutting into the dummy and returning to his defensive position near-instantaneously. It seems to take a lot of focus, though, as he stands down after about a minute of being watched.
"Yes?" He asks, confused.

 

"You look so handsome when you fight like that..." Shadow Stephanie whispers, before getting a hold of herself, "Oh! Uh, I was just, uhm, watching you fight to learn. You certainly seem very skilled."

Shadow Stephanie goes back to practising, aiming for the dummy's vitals and stabbing them as quickly as she can.

 

Sivius sighs.
"You know, I've never been asked for a date before. Nonetheless been shown a sign of affection. You're in new waters." He says, sheathing his blades.

 

"Oh, uh, you haven't?" Shadow Stephanie asks, failing to hide the fact she's blushing.

 

"No. Though, if you're cunning enough to be a queen leading a largely normal life, you ought to be cunning enough to surprise me." He says.

 

"Um, well, ah..." Shadow Stephanie says nervously, lost for words, her cheeks a dark reddish black.

 

"Don't doubt yourself unless you want me to doubt you." He reassures, considering going back to meditating.

 

Shadow Stephanie teleports over to Sivius and kisses him suddenly.

 

Sivius gives Shadow Stephanie a loose hug before kissing her back.
"Straight to the point. You catch on fast."

 

"Do you...have any plans this evening?" Shadow Stephanie inquires.

 

Sivius draws his rapier, eyes it, then sheathes it.
"Seems the stars have given me some leisure time."

 

"The shadow palace has a very fancy restaurant. Do you perhaps want to visit it with me?" Shadow Stephanie asks, smiling.

 

"As long as I'm treated as the wandering swordsman I am." He says, nodding. "I'll have a hard time turning down a duel request, though, if one pops up."

 

Shadow Stephanie laughs, "Shall we make it seven?" She asks, smiling.

 

"I have no sense of time at this point. Just tell me when, and I'll be there." He says, lightening up slightly.

 

"Four and a half hours. Here, this will open a portal just before seven for you." Shadow Stephanie says, taking Sivius' claw and placing a black and red crystal in it. The red in the crystal seems to slowly drain over time.

Shadow Stephanie walks over to Abigail, giving Sivius a wink as she walks away.

 

Sivius nods, pocketing the crystal as he goes back to meditating.

By now it's sunset, and Xlentia's starting to stir.
