Archer/Hunter Az Guide

you see Az is my fav bow. The only thing that pis*es me off is the fact that most ppl just focus on fire damage (soulflare) and add 2 t6 fire powders on it and that gets my REALLY pis*ed off because I don't think that's how it was meant to be used. So today I will tell u my Az build and why I used that armour
1: helmet: cumulus
most glass cannon/rng based attack build uses this helmet because not only does it give a lot of thunder damage, but it also give defense ad a good amount of spell damage
2: chestplate: sundown poncho
u get this from fighting remyk luke at the boss altar. it dives a lot of thunder damge bonuses
3. Leggings: static charged leggings
u get this leggings from the HIV and is probs the best item u can get there. 40% thunder damage is just 2 gud 2 refoose
4. Boots: Shaggy Boots
I use this because it is just meant to be used for thunder damage weapons and this build couldn't be complete without it
5: rings: energy loop x2
10% thunder damage is good for accessories
6: bracelets: arc bracer
it is good thunder damage and is really useful unless u want to use the jungle charmcrafter's one
7: royal thunder thingy amulet
its good trust me
and then my final weapon Az :D
it VERY rng based and only should be used if u have as good of luck as I do

 

courage double the damage of the biw and wth use lightning strike anyways
Also too much damage abd low survivalibility aka glass cannon pretty much gonna get fucked up in most high level area.

 

Even tho Courage doubles damage, the high thunder damage boost makes it so by converting more neutral into thunder, your damage actually becomes higher...

 

If you are going to go for glass cannon and as much dmg as possible on a thunder weapon, use courage. Thunder special is complete trash, and courage is always more worth it in the end.

 

The only thing thunders will do is do a little bit more damage and slightly better reliability dmg-roll wise. In the end there's a reason why almost everyone uses fire powders, courage is just more worth it to more people. @Gigavern

 

I'm saying that using Thunder powders with full glass cannon is better because you have so much % thunder damage that slightly higher access to the thunder boosts increases your damage more.

Cumulonimbus I completely agree on. A great helmet, way worth the low health.

Ok, next let's see what Sundown Poncho + Static-Charged leggings give you:
- 2450 HP
- Some thunder defense, some negative earth defense
- 79% total thunder damage
- Requires 15 def skill points that do not really do anything.

What if you used Boreal-Patterned Aegis + Thunder Sanctuary instead?
- 3000 HP
- Extreme water, thunder and fire defense, some negative earth defense.
- 100% total thunder damage
- Bonus: 20% walk speed
- Requires 30 int points, but those actually help you cast a little bit more.

-> You should use Boreal-Patterned + Thunder Sanctuary over Sundown Poncho + Static-Charged Leggings. ;)
If you do not want to use int, use Sparkling Plate + Thunder Sanctuary instead.

Ventus Tail gives more total damage boost than Shaggy Boots when you use spells. Thunder% and spell% simply add up. Ventus also has more health and arguably better all-around perks.

Get a Bottled Thunderstorm or an Electric Torc, those do the same thing as Royal Sparkling but are slightly better.

Otherwise a nice Az build. :)
You're right, very highly rng-based thunder weapons work the best when you boost their damage to counter low rolls.

Remember to add skill point info to the build. Where to put all the extra points?

Btw, some formatting would be nice, the wall of text is not exactly very attractive or pleasant to read. Colours, Bold, Underline, anything really, to make it look more interesting and more clear.
