Nationstates - The Federation Of Corkus - Community Project!

So, I found www.nationstates.net today and wanted to give it a go. The whole idea is that you can create a nation and run it.
You can also name your nation, and have a government style, etc... guess what?



I did a few things to set up the nation before getting the idea to run it as a democracy. Of course, I'm president... but let's see if I can make a cabinet of advisers or something?

You may now apply for cabinet positions (snerp and cels, this is what i meant, not making your own account)

basically, whenever an issue comes up I'll ask the respective cabinet member for advice and they get to choose how this is run

extra rules: I can veto the decision, but if 3 other cabinet members support it I'm overruled

 

Can I be secretary of... Uh... Secretary of Defense, perhaps? (I've started my own nation, so jugging responsibilities in two nations, yay!)

(I'm a bit jealous of Corkus's Civil Rights, though. Mine are good, compared to superb.)

I screwed up today and had to restart, so it's currently called "The Democratic Republic of Artibus Iustitia". The name are a couple of words google-translated to latin, idk which it is.

Bit worried about going too left-wing, though.

no issues regarding defense yet (not sure if there are going to be any, until we get into a war or someting. Wanna change?)

 

I'll try changing it... Though I did run into an issue on my previous nation regarding military funding... Let me look through the cabinet list and find something applicable. Maybe something diplomatic since my nation is in the top 17% for pacifism?

 

As a plant, I would like to apply for the Job of the Secretary of interior.
I will make sure that the scientific Progress of our Nation doesn't damage the Environment any furter, as to not start a war with those stupid.. I mean wonderfull bird-people!

 

I guess I'll switch to Secretary of State, meaning I deal with foreign affairs, to my understanding.

Since you don't have a Vice President or Speaker of the House, that puts me first-in-line if you get impeached or assassinated >:)

Yes, actually, I was writing this in the meantime.

Number 1 will give them too much power, probably Setting it up for Problems in the future (aka they protest and want to make their own state).
3 Would do such even more so, allthough the science part of it is a decent idea.
4 Would just help nobody except the rabids, and we got bigger Problems right now (even if they're cute).

So even tho 2 is the most boring aproach, it probably is the best for now, unless we have financual issues, in which case 4 will probably do the least damage.

It really depends on what you want to change. For example, if you want a wildlife friendly society, choose 4, and if you want to progress science, choose 3.
For example, I decided to screw myself on civil rights to close the income gap... Then allowed a Nazi rally to happen to help right it :D
