Help! I Can't Change Guild! What Should I Do?

I am trying to quit my guild so i can join a new one (BuildCraftia for the win). So i type in /guild leave and it takes me to the sign where i enter yes and it steals 3 souls of me and says i left the guild, twice in a row for some strange reason, and i try and join the other guild but it says that i need to leave my current guild first. I then press tab and it still shows all the members of the guild i want to leave! I have tried this four times and it still hasn't worked! PLEASE HELP ME!

Have you changed your name while in the guild? This may be the problem, as you can't leave guilds if you changed your name

Can i change my name back? will that work?

 

Nope. If you do that, you'll create another name that's still in the guild. So for now, you're stuck in the guild.

And why hasn't this been solved yet

 

What if the guild leader just kicks the dudes name from the guild, would that fix it, or is it perma locked into the guild where not even the guild leader can get rid of th slot for new ppl?

 

In all honesty, I can't answer that question. I have no idea what the issue is caused by, I'm just a cog in the machine, and a messenger of bad news. Again, sorry

 

Yeah this also happened to me, I'm in this one guild and I can't leave it for now

 

Because Guilds were pushed early due to community pressure and have been a flawed system to 2014. Since backlash from removing guilds would be too great, they can't remove them to completely re-haul Guilds. Doing so would be considered a waste of time anyway, as most people have given up on guilds.

 

I have seen it work but it isnt a 100% guarantee
