So picoctf is a hacking competition. It's of teams of 1-5 and starts tomorrow, through the 14th. I made a team myself but having more people means better results.

Erevan: "Good morning. I slept fairly well, though my dreams were... odd... they almost seemed... foreboding.."

"Unfortunately, I lack the divination foci to try and discern any meaning from my dreams, nor do I have the funds to purchase any..."

 

(Wait what? Does your character regularly have special dreams?)

 

I've only taken 1 semester of computer science so far (though I've exhibited natural talent at it, I blame the Aspergers), and have never tried my hand at hacking. I'd join if I had the talent, but, as it stands, I don't.

 

Not in particular... He just got a weird feeling from this one... but he lacks access to any real divination powers, so it's probably not anything significant. You don't have to try and take this anywhere in terms of plot, it was mostly just flavor stuff...

EDIT: Note also that it's detailed in the PHB that an elf's dreams are mostly constructs of their own mind, so it seems unlikely that I was actually predicting anything... perhaps Erevan's visions were just giving form to his own fears...

Anyway, I'd actually rather ignore that post, I made it mostly for random conversational RP purposes, and didn't entirely mean for it to go anywhere.

I'm going to Bigby's to pick up Okami and pay Yevor.

 

Lol, that's still more than me probobly. All my experience comes from trying to program robots, which is very different than computer programming from what I've heard.

Ok. I just got confused because you talked about a weird dream but you never mentioned like "hey, while I am sleeping I have this really weird dream where such and such happens"

 

I'm just the opposite: I've never tried programming robots, but I've done a bit with computers, but I'm guessing the languages used are quite different (Apparently most computer languages are similar to each other).

It was a funny class: There were exactly 4 people, me included, who coding came somewhat naturally to. There was also the majority that needed a lot of help from the teacher... Then there were those kids who sat in the back and literally played Town of Salem the whole class. I wonder how they did on the final... I'd probably feel pity if I knew XD

 

Ti'Lin:"Well that's interesting."

 

Yevor: "Time to leave, I guess."
*I pack up our items and take Okami out to Kyelas.*

 

Kyelas: "Thank you for your help. This coin I'm giving you in return always lands on heads. That way, you could potentially cheat bets. I'm too honest to make use of it, but..."

 

*Come back to the group with his new cool shoes ! And an other shoe with no use for now...*

 

Yevor: "Thanks. Here's your pillow and bedroll back. It might still have some of Okami's fur on it, though..."

Ti'Lin:" Erevan what should we do now? Shall we meet the others?"

 

Alas : "Someone still got something to do here ?"

 

Erevan: "I suppose so... let's go see if they've found anything of use."

 

*I walk upstairs to wake up Alice*
Ti'Lin:"Wake up sleepy head. We're gonna explore the town a bit."
*I pick up Alice and place her on my back. The three of us walk out of Otter and walk towards Bigby's. We meet Kyelas, Yevor and Okami there.*
