Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

I think for a moment, before establishing a telepathic communication with my second in command.
"I shall be opening up a portal. I want you to send a team of surveyors to see if the land I have in mind is suitable for rebuilding and colonization." I say, opening a portal to his office.

 

I just go back to thinking.

 

"Yes, sire. Uhm... it'll be a few minutes because you gave me no advance notice. Just letting you know." They respond.

 

Your thinking mostly goes uninterrupted, apart from a few giggles from Abigail and Shadow Stephanie's direction.

 

Crystal seems curious as to what's going on, looking in that direction.

 

Abigail and Shadow Stephanie seem to be talking amongst themselves, presumably sharing gossip as they giggle occasionally.

 

"I am aware of the fact." I reply, closing the link.
I decide to fly up and survey the landscape for anything else interesting.

 

There's nothing else particularly interesting outside the chasm, hold what seems to be a blood-soaked tribal village.

The unicorn-like creature, after remaining silent, approaches Shadow Stephanie.
"Pardon me, but if your portal opening machine is in another reality, how do you intend to use it here?"

 

I create some golems out of some of the rubble to guard the portal before flying to the village.

 

The village seems very active, and they don't seem to like your presence, everyone inside cut, bleeding, and holding weapons towards you with twisted looks on their faces.

 

"I can open a portal to this reality if I can get a link to it," Shadow Stephanie says, "If Abigail stays here, for example, I can lock on to her co-ordinates and work from there."

 

"Ah, okay. My apologies to interrupt." They say before reinserting themselves back into the starmap, remaining otherwise silent as the markings pop up again.

 

Abigail looks a little weirded out, while Shadow Stephanie just watches.

 

Crystal pays them little mind before walking over to the creature.

"So, what are these planets like?"
Crystal asks the creature.

 

"Unknown. We only know what he visits; however, he won't visit gas giants simply because it's not worth his time." The creature says.

 

"Alright. Thanks."
Crystal looks back at the map, looking at how big each planet it.

 

The system in question doesn't seem to have any information on it.
"Do keep in mind, we lack some vitals since we've been stuck here for years. We cannot tell you what kind or the size of the planets that remain, but we can get you in the correct general area."

 

"Oh, yeah. Okay."
Crystal nods.

 

"Consider relaying that to the other two. Maybe let your other friends know in case things... go south."

 

"Okay, sure."
He agrees, walking over to Abigail and Shadow Stephanie.
