Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Mhm." I comment.

After a while, I say, "I have a proposition for you, Mr. Allen. Seeing as you are the first one resurrected you are de-facto the current leader, I propose to rebuild this place under the supervision of my kingdom."

 

"You're so considerate of the group." Shadow Stephanie compliments silkily, her massasge making you feel a little looser.

"Strange. It seems fairly useful though. Consider us even." Aquira says, taking the machinery and sliding off of Xlentia, into the water. A bubble forms around the machinery, so it doesn't get wet.

"What was with you and that Shadow?" Aquira asks, curious.

 

"For his sake, let's just say that forcing armor on me that suppresses any of my many powers doesn't go over well." Xlentia says. "Still not quite a fan, but immunity to mind control is a giant plus. If it weren't for the fact there are giant weak spots glowing on my back."

He shakes his head.
"No, I couldn't do that. I'm sorry - I'm truly grateful for you giving me a second chance at life, but... this is all too much at once, for starters."

 

"Just trying to not let an overlord take over."
I say casually.

 

"Alright, this is where your second choice comes in. You can choose to continue to live, or you can die right now." I say, "It's a matter of weather you think you can survive without anyone you know and love."

 

"Mmhmm. Seems like there was a bit of romance between you two?" Aquira asks.

"Try not to overload yourself. You can always take some time off to relax." Shadow Stephanie whispers, although her silky, almost seductive voice is clear in your ears.

 

"That's the exact opposite reason robots were made in the first place."
I argue.

 

Allen pauses.
"Can you give me two days?"

"I wish. He can become my size, he's powerful, respectable, and isn't just going to try and tap into my hoard like many mortals have tried before." Xlentia snickers, obviously hopeful for an alternative. "If he wasn't so loyal I'd be tempted to stomp his girlfriend and take her place."

 

"Certainly. I shall establish telepathic communication with you in two days." I say.
"Oh, I have forgotten to introduce myself. I am Do I us Terrae, King of Perniciosa, God of Destruction and Destroyer of Worlds." I say, offering a handshake.

 

"From his leaving lines, I feel like that'd go poorly for you. Trust me, you can't murder a captain and expect their crew to accept you if you force you way into their place. You'll have a mutiny on your hands within the hour." Aquira says, laughing.

"Oh, come on Thirteen. You're more than just a robot." Shadow Stephanie whispers, her tone changing from silky to seductive.

 

"It would go poorly for me, but that doesn't mean I can't get him to help me find another that's like him. I can erase memories, wipe things from existence, create black holes, send entire realms to Oblivion... it's just hard to find anyone who can come remotely close to comparing." She says, amused with Aquira's comment.

"That's an awful long name. Nice to meet you, Mister Terrae." Allen says, accepting the handshake.

 

"Back to the 'whole reason for being created' thing."

 

"May the seas fare you well, Xlentia." Aquira says, before diving back down to her underwater palace with the machinery.

"I think you were created for great things." Shadow Stephanie whispers seductively, one of her tentacles loosely wrapping around your neck.

 

Xlentia climbs out in another portal, heading home again as she starts restacking her gold piles in her chambers.

 

"I think..."
I say, immediately grabbing the tentacle.
"That you're not helping me think."

 

"I meant Dominus." I say, "Anyways, I shall be off now. Thank you for your time." I say, flying around the ruins a bit and exploring them.

 

The ruins seem to just be more of the same; abandoned stone buildings with minor erosion and a lot of dust and dirt inside the structures that still have walls standing.

 

I survey the ruins for any clue as to what life was like before the cataclysm.

 

Seems to be similar to the lifestyle in the less populated areas of your kingdom. Little trade, low population, and a very local king.

 

Shadow Stephanie disappears with a giggle, appearing nearer Abigail and observing the starmap with her.
