Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Oh, oops. I thought they liked loot. Isn't gold loot?"


The creature standing with his tail in the starmap glances over.
"Still doesn't fix how you're going to get this off the ground or even get there."

 

"Sup Robro." Shadow Stephanie says casually.

"They do, but I think she has enough gold. My love, might I suggest you give her something a little more...meaningful? Something from in here?" I ask, patting my chest.


"Rocket ship through a warp portal?" Abigail suggests.

 

"Like what? I dunno what to do for her!" Xlentia says, checking to see if Aquira is even still there.


"Whatever works... but how are you getting this off the ground?"

 

"How's that portal room work? The one you used to get us to Abigail's."

 

Using a diagram, I attempt to reconstruct one using the bones.

 

Aquira just floats on the surface, looking mildly peeved and confused.

"She's a pirate, so maybe something to assist sea navigation?" I suggest.


"Shadow Stephanie could probably lift it." Abigail says, pointing to Shadow Stephanie.

"Well, you sort of type in co-ordinates and search for areas to create a point of reference from. It's kind of hard to explain, but imagine you have a map, and you point to an island on that map. You then have access to all the main locations on that island, so you pick one of those, and you then have access to all the locations around that point. From there, you can pick one of the locations, then pick a specific area or co-ordinate and ask the portal to open a link to itself at that point, in very basic terms." Shadow Stephanie explains.

 

"So, it's that possible with the planets?"
I say, referring to the map.

 

"Yeah, it's possible to go literally anywhere in the universe with that portal. It just takes a lot of commands to get to more specific locations." Shadow Stephanie says.

 

The bones... don't exactly fit, but you get a human anyways. A cripple, but a conscious person nonetheless.

"I don't do sea navigation much... but the stars are kind of like islands, I guess. Maybe a really fancy map like the one Emerald uses when we go bird watching?" She asks, unsure.

 

"Then it's just a matter of searching, right?"

 

"That could work!" I say happily.

Aquira raises an eyebrow.

"Yeah. The starmap will help too." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling slightly.

 

"Greetings, welcome back to the world. You have just been resurrected."

 

"I'll see if I can have a smaller one that works more on a local scale. Though it would be cool if she could go around and loot other places!" Xlentia says playfully, seeming much happier than she had been on her first visit.
"Miss Aquira, if I give you a holomap, will you forgive me?" Xlentia asks.

They seem disgusted with the thought, spitting at you and walking away, as if they're continuing what they had been years ago.

 

"Anyways, I have yet to catch on with your name." I say to the original skeleton I resurrected.

 

"Good. Now, what to do..."
I start going into thought.

 

"You're so kind, darling." I say, giving Xlentia a kiss on the cheek.

"Depends," Aquira says, "What will this 'Holomap' map out?"

You feel something soft and kind of gooey, yet with a firmness massage your shoulders.

 

"Allen." They respond.
Strangely enough, both skeletons you resurrected seem to have normal flesh bodies again.

 

I look behind me, to see what it is.

 

"Tell me, Allen, about what the Cataclysm is."

 

"Well, what do you want it to? It can tell you where every little fishy is. Like, how deep, how far away, and it'll go until the shoreline. So, if all the water is together, then you can see every boat on the water!" Xlentia says, content.
"And Aj? I appreciate the attention, but I overheard you're still with Artemis." She says, smug.

"It was just a flash of darkness and light... everything went numb all at once, and it was just like everyone died at once." He recollects.
