Well, instead of scamming he could let players that actually need LE have some. Also, 115 is the base, so anything higher than 115 has 1 star. So yes, it is lower than a 1 star.

Sorry bro it's an extremely rare and sort of sought after mythic. Trust me, there is a lot of LE floating around in the economy, prices aren't as absurd as they seem.

By the way, stars aren't very reliable as the id system is a little more complicated than it seems. Anyways the consequence, often items aren't given the proper number of stars. A good example being the Fatal in the good ids section, three ids are the highest possible id, but they aren't given 3 stars because it's not the maximum roll

As far as I'm concerned a Discoverer of loot bonus 100 would go for roughly 8 stacks of LE, and anything below that would be a loss for me.

Assuming there's 115 possible rolls (I understand rolls are slightly more complex), you'd have a (100 - 35) chance of losing versus a (150 - 100) chance of winning. Therefore a greater chance of losing LE than profiting on it. I understand if I did roll a near max Discoverer it'd go for more than I'd lose with a near minimum (which would go for nothing), but these are only the EXTREME cases, and in most cases it'd be a roughly 50/50, which is a FAIR purchase.

I'm just eyeballing this but maybe an actual smartypants @Net_Twerk could do the math for us, because I'm confident it's not what most people would call a "scam" (p.s. a very overused word).

I don't appreciate being called a scammer without proper evidence behind it, by the way :)

 

About 3 discoverers exist.
I've seen offers up to 30 stacks on some of them, so yes, its a scam.
55% is a REALLY easy roll to beat , a 47 roll on 30-130. you got a 99 roll, a 83% chance of getting a better one, quite simply.

Proof? As far as I remember there was a 1 off perfect one which yielded offers of 20+ stacks (which I offered on, this being an EXTREME), whereas if I rolled 1 off minimum I'd get no more than 1 stack.

As I said before the objective is NOT to beat 55%, a 56% roll is a FAILURE which I'd lose quite a bit on.

What I got (the 99 roll) has NOTHING to do with the purchase price, yes I got an above average roll but that is the GAMBLE I took. A gamble which I LIKELY would have lost
