Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Eve flies backwards a bit, cautious of Xlentia from her size.

 

Xlentia seems almost disoriented, rolling over on her side before trying, but failing, to fall back asleep.

 

Eve records Xlentia's disoriented movements, curious, before flying to a position to scan Xlentia's underside.

 

There seems to be a mostly filled-in gash that's half of her underside, or about half a mile long.
Xlentia shifts a bit, Eve far enough to avoid being knocked out of the air.

 

"Works for you, then."
I say to Shadow Stephanie, then turn to Crystal.
"Flying with me?"
"Yeah, sure."
I hold my hand out, and Crystal takes it, forming into a sort of armor around me.

 

"There appears to be a partially healed wound on underside, around half a mile in length. May wish to compensate for sensitivity, or exploit for healing purposes." Eve says, recording the gash and her voice.

"Whoa, weird." Abigail says, caught off guard by Crystals transformation into armour.

"Reminds me of myself." Shadow Stephanie says, laughing slightly.

 

Xlentia lazily opens one eye, looking at Eve, before rolling over again and continuing to toss and turn, groaning.

 

Eve records this, commenting "Appears to be disturbed. Shall attempt to investigate."

 

"It'll help with the travel, as Crystal can't fly."
"Yeah. And I'm not really that much of a fighter, although Linoa's been teaching me some stuff."
Crystal says proudly, as he seems to fluxuate a bit over time, almost like he's trying to get a solid shape for good armor.

 

"You'll want to protect the vitals and weak points. You get sliced in the neck, kicked in the knee or hit in the arm, you're screwed." Shadow Stephanie advises Crystal, taking a false jab at your neck with her sharp dagger.

 

I quickly catch on that it's a fake hit, not moving.
Crystal, however, instinctively reacts by stretching a part of the chest plate momentarily higher to try and deflect the attack.
"I'm still working on it, okay?"

 

"That's a good move, but you could always just cover Thirteen's neck." Shadow Stephanie advises.

 

"Doesn't that hold his head still, though? Seems like more of an annoying thing to me."
Crystal argues.

 

"Not if you layer yourself to add flexibility." Shadow Stephanie says, smiling.

 

"Huh..."
"We'll figure it out later. There's a star map to be fixed."

 

"I'll see if I can help with anything." Shadow Stephanie says.

"I'll be honest, I've never even built a starmap before." Abigail says nervously.

 

"Well, it's already built, it's just broken."

 

"I know, but you generally have a better idea of fixing stuff you've built before." Abigail says.

 

"Yeah, let's just go. You'll be able to see it there."

 

"Yeah, let's go." Abigail says, starting to hover forward. Shadow Stephanie casually walks along, not seeming to care about falling behind.
