Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Xlentia opts to just move Aquira far from the door, then lay between her and the door.
"Wait... I can't hurt you by inaction..." Xlentia says. "Emerald says water guardians can only go two weeks without food or moisture..."

 

Aquira remains silent.

 

Xlentia opts to just go back to sleep again.

Outside, Aquira can hear a knock. Xlentia remains asleep.

 

Aquira rolls over to the door again, deciding to covert her ice ball into a drill and spinning rapidly, attempting to drill through the door.

 

The drill doesn't even scratch the door.
"Who the hell is that?"
"Someone trying to break out?"
"I dunno. Should I call the guard?"
"Nah, intruders call for the generals."

 

Aquira smirks, deciding to re-convert her drill into a sphere, growing it slightly more before turning it into a titan-like body.

 

"You stayin?"
"Sure. Be fast. Emerald has a short fuse."
"On it."

A minute later, Emerald appears, in full battle armor with a lance in each hand and three hundred tomes behind her.
"...Aquira? You gotta be kidding me..." Emerald sighs.

 

Aquira's titan suit stands ready, icy cutlass in hand.

 

Emerald pauses.
"You want to fight?" She asks, hesitating.

 

Aquira's titan suit takes a neutral stance, it's cutlass melting.

 

Emerald mounts her lances.
"What were you doing to interrupt me from my work?"

 

Aquira changes her titan suit's arms into drills, trusting of Emerald.

 

"Trying to drill through what?" Emerald asks, battle armor fading into a wireframe, then nothing.

 

Aquira points at the door.

 

Emerald sighs.
"The door's recently been reinforced. Ever since we got our hands on Light Pulse Rifles, we reforged the door to be able to take a shot without significant damage." She explains. "You'd never get through with just ice, no matter how many generations tried."

 

Aquira simply waits, pensive.

 

Emerald pauses.
"Why won't you speak?" She asks, not expecting an answer.

 

Aquira simply puts a finger to her mouth, or where her mouth would be on the titan suit, before crossing her arms.

 

"Not happy with your treatment, I'm assuming?" Emerald asks bluntly. "Because unless you give a little, you won't get much in this reality."

 

Aquira freezes a new cutlass, looking at it for a bit, before deciding to turn to Xlentia's gold pile, grabbing handfuls of gold and throwing them out of the way, looking for anything useful.
