Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I will agree to the terms through action, but I will not go out of my way to protect you. As for your daughter, that's already in place."

 

Aquira extends a hand, offering a handshake.

 

Xlentia leans down, shaking Aquira's hand with a cold yet soft tendril.
"Tell Katie that Muffy's still hanging around, hoping she has another nightmare. She'll know what that means." Xlentia says, standing up again.

At this point I look up from my journal and look around.
(Terrae is still in the forest apparently)

 

The group has left, the forest partially burnt as a dragonling stumbles about, clearly with terrible eyesight.

 

"I shall." Aquira says, calmer than she was before.

"Yay!" Gaia says happily, before growing a pair of pretty, blue oceanic flowers in her palm and taking them, giving one to Aquira and one to Xlentia.

 

Xlentia looks at the flower.
"Uhm... perchance can you grow any my size so I don't lose track of it?" She asks.

 

"Perhaps I do need to stop zoning out while writing." I comment, closing my journal and approaching the dragonling.
"Can you speak?" I ask.

 

It looks at you blankly before letting out an odd groan, continuing its stroll.

 

Gaia puts her hands around the flower, taking them away a short moment later. The flower seems to have grown in size, the top of it being about twice as large as Xlentia's eye.

 

I decide to follow the dragonling. "Can dragons wear spectacles? I believe I've seen some before, though I am not sure weather it was fiction or reality." I comment.

 

Xlentia's tendrils wrap around the stem, holding on to the flower.
"It'll add some color to the Void. Now... dragon ride?"

It looks in your direction curiously, before proceeding on its stroll, again.

 

"Yeah!" Gaia says happily, getting on Xlentia's back.

Most of Aquira's crew look up in shock and awe, watching Gaia get onto Xlentia's back.

 

"You should try a dragon ride sometime." Xlentia tells the crew, grinning as she takes off, careful not to stir up a huge wave as she flies off.

Katie can hear an almost signature "Mrow" coming from her feet.

 

Katie glances down, sipping some sugary water and sitting next to the water guardian in the captain's quarters.

 

Muffy seems to have been hiding on her, absolutely drenched as she looks cross.
"Mrow."

 

"Oh, hey Muffy!" Katie says happily, "Dad, this is Muffy. She ate my nightmares, like a dream weaver!"

"Hello there, Muffy." The water guardian says, reaching down to pet Muffy.

 

"Mrow."
Muffy hesitantly accepts the attention, using her tongue to grapple herself away from Katie's dad after a few moments.

 

"Strange little creature, isn't she?" Katie's father says.

"She's nice, though!" Katie says happily.

 

Muffy looks around before walking back up to Katie and coughing up her double trident, mrowing before exploring the room she's in.
