Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Katie freezes the ground below her, skating along and exploring.

 

There's not much she hasn't explored, outside Xlentia's chambers, if there's anything hiding there.

 

Katie decides to try and sneak into Xlentia's chambers, moving as quietly and stealthily as she can.

 

She's noticed, but Xlentia flashes her a smile and waves as she enters, leaving her alone otherwise.

 

Katie freezes up, before trying to get out of sight.

 

With all this gold around, it's effortless.

 

Katie heads onto the gold pile, looking for a statue or pile to hide behind.

 

She doesn't need to look. Xlentia's only looking at the door, and it'd take a few steps to get out of sight.

 

Katie creates an ice wall in front of her, icy hands picking up as much gold as they can and sticking it onto the wall to make it look like it's just a pile.

 

The gold moving catches Xlentia's attention.
"Hon, what are you doing?" She asks, peering over the pile.

 

Katie presses herself against the wall of ice and gold, hoping not to be seen.

 

It's obvious Xlentia sees her.
"Katie, hon? What's wrong?"

 

Katie thickens the wall a bit, hiding inside before icy hands cover the ice wall with gold to try and blend in.

 

Xlentia slides the gold off her and pokes a small hole on the wall.
"You're not stealing anything, are you hon? Why're you still scared of me? I don't want to hurt you. Allies, remember?" She pleads.

 

Katie freezes herself, trying to pretend she's a statue.

 

Xlentia carefully picks up the frozen Katie, kissing her as she sets her down next to the reset pile of gold.
"Hon, as long as you leave my gold pile alone, you can trust me like your mother. Unless your mother was shit like Stephanie's, then I'm just a friend."

 

"My mother is the best!" Katie says happily, melting the ice around her head.

 

This startles Xlentia.
"T-then I'll strive to be as good to you as she is." She says. "I just don't want you and your friends to fear me."

 

"She's a pirate! I don't really get to see her much, but whenever she visits she's really nice to me. I think she misses me a bit while at sea, really." Katie says happily.

 

"Why doesn't she let you join her?"
