Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Why do you call him that? I mean, I know it's an insult and all, but what's it mean?"

I opt to shake my head for myself, and then go back to looking to see if something happens.

 

Looks like a nice day.
"Well, sorry to intrude. Just letting you know that Steph was okay."

"I dunno."

Still nothing.

 

"It's fine. Thanks for sorting out my nightmares!" Katie says happily.

 

"No problem! Muffy was probably getting hungry anyways." Linoa says, Muffy coughing up a portal.
"Also, Rineth and I bailed from Asimuul. The group kinda ditched us, and then we were told they needed more than a month of a break to 'get their mojo back' or something. Anyhow, I'll see you whenever I end up seeing you." She waves, stepping through.

 

"Bye!" Katie says happily, waving back.

 

Muffy opts to stay with Katie as the portal shuts, having fallen asleep on the floor.

 

"You don't know what bastard means?"

I opt for a reset, looking around at the audience.

 

Katie pets Muffy, leaving her room for a moment before returning with a soft blanket she wraps around her.

 

"No."

The rest of the audience agrees.
After the reset, the healer approaches the two.
"What happened?"
"The battle was to fallen mage."
"O-oh... my apologies..."

This causes her to constantly conjure water, soaking anything that can be soaked as water continues to flow from Muffy like a spring.

 

Katie's room, and the palace itself, seems well equipped to deal with water; the water not affecting anything. Katie decides to remove the blanket nonetheless, folding it up slightly and putting it next to Muffy to lie on.

 

Muffy seems sound asleep, coughing up a bit of inhaled water before rolling and falling back to sleep.

 

Katie decides to sit down at her computer, booting it up and surfing the internet for a while.

 

Hours later, Muffy wakes up, coughs up another portal, and leaves.

 

Katie seems to notice, grabbing her double trident and following Muffy.

 

She follows Muffy into the archives, Muffy latching onto Emerald's horns and gnawing on them as she continues her work.
"Huh? Oh, hi Katie." Emerald says, distracted.

 

"Oh, hey. I was just curious as to where Muffy was going." Katie says innocently.

 

"You're fine. I don't mind." She says, pulling Muffy off her horns. "The others aren't here yet, except for Linoa who is in the Cryostasis Room."

 

"Others? You mean like, Abigail and Artemis?" Katie asks.

 

"Yeah. Rineth's in Cryostasis too, but he's literally in Cryostasis."

 

"I don't think it'd work on me." Katie says, laughing.
