Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Sgavrinn!" Artemis says happily, hugging Sgavrinn awkwardly.

 

"I appeared back at the Void Palace!"

Rineth smiles.
"We're somehow tied to our universe. If we stay in this reality too long, we get yanked back. That seems to be what happened to Sgavrinn."

 

"That's strange. Maybe we could set up a system for easy transport back to where you were pulled from?" Artemis asks.

 

"That's a matter for the gods. If you want to know more, I'd ask Emily in the library. She's got books on it like it's been done before." Rineth chuckles, Sgavrinn licking Artemis happily.

 

"I've found that messing with god stuff is a bad idea." I say, a slight warning tone in my voice.

"It's an inconvenience we'll have to learn to live with I guess." Artemis says, getting up and petting Sgavrinn.

 

"Probably just a simple fix doable by your Gaia. Sgavrinn loves her as much as Artemis, too." Rineth chuckles. "Still, it's a wise precaution to avoid godly affairs."

 

"Probably best not to pester the beings keeping the entire universe a universe." I say, nodding.

"So what caused you to come here, Rineth?" Artemis asks, smiling, "Apart from Sgavrinn, of course."

 

"Aj invited me over. Since camp burned down and nobody came back. And he had a shadow regiment get me out of the mud before I drowned." He says offhandedly, as if it was normal.

 

"Did you ask Thirteen and Crystal if they wanted to come?" I ask, "I mean, I don't think I have the right to invite people over, since this is Abigail's place, but it seems kind of rude to just leave them behind."

 

"No, not since I got disconnected with the group. I can go find them."

 

"You can if you want," I say, shrugging, "I was planning on going to find Stephanie and Katie anyway."

"I have a bad feeling about their disappearance." Artemis says, slightly worried.

 

"Xlentia's been warning me about what Stephanie talked to her about, saying that I may get to put myself in stupid situations. So far she seems to be doing whatever off on her own."

 

"What did Stephanie talk to her about?" I ask.

 

Rineth seems to turn a bit pale.
"Something involving a lot of forbidden magic... I regret overhearing it."

 

"What kind of forbidden magic?" I ask.

"We have to stop her before she gets herself hurt." Artemis says, serious.

 

"Well... she was talking about a way, any way possible, to bring... um... Ihra... back..." Rineh says, extremely hesitant.

 

"Necromancy!?" Artemis asks, shocked.

"Well, I guess we have to start the search with her in mind, then." I say, surprised.

 

"Maybe Xlentia would tell us what's needed for the process?"

 

"I think we should try to stop Stephanie first. If it involves sacrificing yourself, it's probably best we stop her before finding that out." I suggest.

 

"It doesn't. Xlentia's list didn't include sacrifices. That's all I remember. However, we may be racing her for the stuff needed."
