Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

There are various smells from the people, some stinky, others perfumed. All of the people seem to enjoy Sgavrinn's nuzzling, however.

Sgavrinn can hear loud cheering from Abigail as a band starts to set up on stage, announcing themselves as Scrap Iron.

 

Sgavrinn glances at the stage upon hearing this, but not for long before simply going back to nuzzling, sniffing, and people watching.

 

There's a loud opening blast of music as Scrap Iron begins to play. Fireworks rocket into the sky, and halfway through the song, cannons rise from the front of the stage and begin firing T-Shirts. Abigail tries her best to catch one, desperate, before I fly up and nab one out of the air for her.

Abigail almost topples me over as I offer her the T-Shirt, her hug around me looking tight. I smile, hugging Abigail back before Abigail puts her Scrap Iron T-Shirt on over her current shirt, beaming.

 

Sgavrinn nuzzles you and Abigail after looking at the fireworks, both scared and in awe.

 

Artemis gently and casually pets Sgavrinn as the fireworks go off, trying to keep his fears down.

Abigail hugs Sgavrinn, clearly in a joyful mood.


After Scrap Iron finishes playing their songs, Abigail leaves the crowds, glancing back at Artemis and I. The three of us head away from the crowd and toward the stalls to pick up some more food.

 

Sgavrinn seems to be able to keep it together, though Abigail's hug seems to be a big help. He hugs her back with a wing.


He keeps a little more distance between himself and Artemis, a bit familiarized with the setting.
"Can I have some of the fruity mush you got earlier?" He asks, his tone giving away that he snuck a taste before if it wasn't already obvious.

 

"You mean sorbet? Sure! What flavour do you want?" Artemis asks happily, walking over to the sorbet stall.

 

"I dunno. Can you pick for me?"

 

Artemis thinks for a bit, before ordering two sorbets for Sgavrinn, holding them out for him once she's bought them. From their appearance, they look purple and pinkish-red.

 

He tries the purple one.

 

It appears to be grape sorbet, the flavour pleasant yet strange.

 

He continues eating until it's empty, seeming happy, shivering.
"T-this must be what Ihra called a brain freeze." He complains.

 

Artemis laughs, petting Sgavinn's head gently.

I walk over to Artemis with a large yet flat box, probably containing a pizza. Abigail heads toward Artemis, almost following my trail, a semi-transparent bag of chicken legs held in her hand.

"This is a really nice concert, did I mention that?" I ask happily.

"They have so many food stalls! Plus I got a Scrap Iron shirt!" Abigail says happily, hugging me again. I swiftly move the pizza box out of Abigail's way, hugging Abigail with one arm.

"It's so nice of you to grab a shirt for Abigail, Aj." Artemis compliments, smiling at me.

 

Sgavrinn holds the other cup with a vine, slowly eating it as the group wanders around the concert.

 

The other sorbet seems to be raspberry, slightly tangy. The group wanders around various merchandise stalls, Abigail fangirling over various band items while I occasionally buy the odd item. Artemis seems content with keeping the group together, smiling and checking on Sgavrinn occasionally.

 

Sgavrinn just keeps near, moving as the leash tightens, seeming a bit tired of the crowds.

 

After staying at the concert for a bit longer, Abigail starts to yawn.

"You guys ready to head back? I think most of the good bands have played, and we've been around almost all the stalls." Abigail asks.

 

Sgavrinn nods, accidentally growing a flower in front of him as he yawns too.

 

"That's a yes from me too." I say, though not looking tired.

"Sleep is important, and I don't think we'll be able to get Sgavrinn back easily if he's asleep." Artemis says, resisting a yawn.

"Alright, let's go home." Abigail says, heading toward the exit of the concert.

 

Sgavrinn stays behind Artemis until he gets to the gates, then offering vines to get up on his back.
