if u take off your necklace and put it back on while holding the weapon it changes the attack speed animation to like superfast making it easier to cast spells. (only the animation is changed the actual attack speed stays the same)

Don't you get deceived by them .-.
That's just your raw Spell damage. From what I see in those examples, the damage difference between your actual damage and the damage indicator is constant so...

since Tide has higher base dmg
that means water defense works less effective than Idol
here is the graph of the Dmg against Def

I put 120 int on both Tide and Idol
and assume Tide has 26% spell and 13int
and assume Idol has 300 spell and 20int
this is a caculation without build

We can see the when someone has somewhere around 1100 water def, Idol will do no dmg

we can see that Tide does better against water def it still do damage when someone has decent water def

At point A, which we see when someone has 241 water def, Tide starts doing more damage then Idol.
and on the graph we obviously see that Tide has a larger range of dmg than Idol
making it a relative unstable weapon
so Idol or Tide?

Market is all about the price of the buyer and seller anyway, there is a blur idea as of what so-called market price is. Yes fuck you market price.
69% of players would be banned for scamming if there is a set price for anything. There is no absolute value of an item. Unless you put it in a calcution as of the ID percentage of how good your item is and compare it to another item then make up the price which is gonna be affect the supply and demand and all other tiny factors. Otherwise, just offer your price, if you sell an item for low, don't shit about the person that bought your item for low, instead learn to use price check thread although u would get ignored 99% of the time. and at least get a rough idea as of how much that would be

 

I wonder if someone actually considered the ammount of intel that Idol gives, compared to tidebinder. Sure, Tidebinder may outdamage Idol, but let's compare the ids:

As you can see, Idol does not have any downsides, however, it has 1 less mana regen and requires more intelligence then Tidebinder.

Now, you can clearly see that Tidebinder has some downsides, not only that but Tidebinder also has negative thunder defense, which is a pretty big downside IMO, but Idol doesn't cause it also gives positive defenses and mythic rules.


Anyway, with this post I just want to say this:

Damage is not everything.

 

let's grab some ID on idol and tide and compare them
Idol

Tide

on 129 int, warrior spell does
2 mana bash
1 mana charge
3 mana uppercut
2 mana war scream
on 147 int,
2 mana bash
1 mana charge
2 mana uppercut
2 mana war scream
it has 1 mana difference for uppercut on using tide or idol
but
Idol

Tide

I guess I would pick 1 extra mana regen then 1 less mana upper

Next,
Tide has

Ok and for the defense
Idol

Water def, Tide obviously won
and for thunder def, this one is kinda interesting
even though we see negative Thunder def on Tide
does it mean BAD? no, here's the reason
most water/spell dmg items has negative raw thunder def
e.g. memetose capricon crystal aquarius water sanc squid ank
meaning that the negative thunder defense % on Tide actually HELPS to minimize to negative thunder defense on armor

And actual bid. However we all learned a few lessons, witch is better is up to preference. Tide isn't bad for dmg, nether is idol there about the same really. And for some reason, the elem dmg on spells only effects nutreal!
