you 2 forgot something called earth damage
tide has nearly -100% earth damage , the thing is that there is a visual bug that weapons without neutral damage dont show the earth damage on the upper
giving idol another 500-600 damage on its uppers + the 300 raw
making it deal more at minimum and max
also i checked that out myself and tidebinder did like 2.5-3.5kk while idol did 4-5k with the same build on first upper hit (and thats without the earth/neutral which added nearly 1k damage)

 

I got very close to the same results when I used them both.

 

It only converts neutral, me and selvut had a little talk about this the other day actual. So @Selvut283 just for this one thing, I mean I was confused as well, like why does alka have -% dmg in all Elems but earth, he didn't have a answer ether but here.

 

a weapon with only elemental damage would not apply earth damage that's the thing with neutral conversion
just like fatal wont do fire and earth meteor dmg

Idol was made a number of updates AFTER Tidebinder. Your statement is false, because Tidebinder came first. Not every item is meant to be a "budget" Mythic. I hardly even look at Mythics when I make items, and yet, any thunder dagger is a "Budget Cataclysm", any water dagger is a "budget Nirvana", any water spear is a "Budget Idol", etc., etc. No they aren't.

Idol outdamages Tidebinder. Tidebinder is overall the better spear though.

 

You can't just try in once... you have to try at least a 100 times and compare the average.....crit exist.....

 

Those screenshots are representative data points, lying near the average of both weapons.

That is what they are used for, that is exactly what they are. They both exist now, and do the same thing, the other does it better, the other is cheaper. No matter which one was released first. The cheaper version of something that does the same thing is the budget version by definition.

Well, Idol is meant to be an upgraded Tidebinder, however you want to say it. You still got my point. Tidebinder is not meant to be better than Idol, is it?

I must admit I honestly did not know Tide was released before Idol. But it'd make me a bit sad if Idol was made as a troll to fool people into paying for a mythic that gets beaten by a legendary.

I thought they removed that because people were soloing Qira using Ethereal.

 

also the atk spd tier is one thing important about water weapon
due to the spell detector being so glitchy
super fast weapon recognizes spell cast much smoothly
and super slow weapon is cancerous at casting spell
it is not intended but
normal > slow on spell casting

 

It was either raw spell x spell multiplier or raw spell x attack speed multiplier, can't remember. According to Motokis guide anyway.

i tested it many times with idol and nirvana

as i said its a visual bug i tested it with a few weapons if you test it you will see that the weapon deals more than it actually states to deal
