Rathius: "I've been travelling for quite some time now my feet are hurt. You see... these boots are kinda old and I need to replace them if possible."
*I point at my boots*

 

You'd rather not kill Vilphans without that less thought. Vilphans are rare, so if you kill all of them the world's gonna become unstable. They act as bridge between humans and monsters, and are results of a deal made between an Elf Lord and an incredibly powerful monster a long time ago, which created Vilphans as 'peacekeepers'. Well, Vilphans can be killed when binding those who are unwilling... so you had plenty of reason to kill the Vilphan. But try not to in the future. :P

Asakeryu
6:12 PM Day 1

Asakeryu passes a few carriages pulled by horses, which carry foreign merchants and merchant goods. Even at a time of war, independent merchants still travelled between Rehniar and Aurallim. As Asakeryu walks right next to a carriage, a hooded person jumps in front of him. It was so sudden, Asakeryu walks right into the person, and they both fall down.

The hooded figure lands on her back but quickly gets up with a back tumble. Asakeryu gets up shortly after.

The figure in front of Asakeryu pulls their hood back. It reveals a young girl around 16 with brown hair. Her eyes are yellow, and her face has babyish features. She scowls as she looks up and down at Asakeryu, noticing the katana and his unusual robes. Asakeryu sees a man landing behind the brown-haired girl. They both wear navy coloured cloaks, with silver batched on their chest. Asakeryu knows that these two are freelander merchants.

"I would say, 'watch where you're going', but I was the one who jumped down. Sorry, are you hurt?" The girl says as she gives a lopsided grin.

"And on what business have you been travelling?" The other soldier ask. They still haven't reached for their weapons, which is good.

 

(It was the rogue who killed them, but details.)

I take a step back out of nervousness. "I-I'm fine. Falling on the ground i-isn't going to kill me. So... Wh-who are you, exactly?" I say to her.

 

"Who I am?" The girl frowns. "I'm just a merchant, coming all the way from Forden." She looks back at her companion, who looks at Asakeryu with curiosity that makes the kitsune uncomfortable. "We won't name ourselves since this is an uncertain time for all of us, but I will say that we are a group of freelander merchant named the Hellbirds."

 

Rathius: "No business in particular. I'm just travelling. If I'm not wished, I'll turn around and go elsewhere."
*I stare at the soldiers*

 

"O-oh. Umm, good to know, then. W-well, I f-forgive you for kn-knocking me over back there, s-so I guess that p-perhaps I'll be on my way." I tell them. I think to myself, "She's a rogue, but she's also from Aurallim. It's hard to say if I can trust her, or how she feels about Kitsune..."

 

Don't jump to conclusions lol. She might not be a rogue, and she isn't from Forden, she said that she came here from Forden. Also, you're in your human form, so there are no points in your appearance that suggests you are anything else than a human.

 

Yeah, though I'm wondering: If Rehniar is friendly towards monsters, would they are more friendly if they knew I was a Kitsune?

Your stare at the soldiers, which seems to make them uncomfortable.

"Alright, you may enter." The first soldier says.

"Before you do so, however, can you tell us your race? This is for the sake of our job; don't judge us for it. We are supposed to record the races of those who enter."

 

Rathius(thinking): "Should I tell them I'm a dragon? It might scare them, so I better not"
Rathius: "I'm a human."

 

You're right. Rehniar's King and the laws are monster friendly, but that doesn't mean the citizens don't fear monsters. They aren't killed for no reason, but sometimes are shunned, discriminated, and bullied. They do that from assumption that monsters won't attack back, but nooo: they sometimes do. When they do though, they are sometimes killed for it.

The soldier nods. "Very well. Welcome to Lasdor, traveller."

The soldiers open the gate, allowing you to walk inside.

Good to know. So, anyway... Need to leave due to school.

I just realize that the alcohol allergy is good since getting drunk tends to expose Kitsune features.

 

*I walk through the gate.*
Rathius(friendly): "Thank you.
Say do you know any good Inn in this town were I can stay? I'm really tired."

 

Asakeryu looks back once he walks past the merchants. The girl and the man are both looking at him. The girl smiles when she notices you looking back, and waves her hand. Asakeryu turns back and travels further into the town.

The soldier looks at his companion. They exchange a few words, then the soldier looks back. "There are a few good ones near the town hall. I suggest you go there, there are people who can help you there, too."

Rathius: "Thanks, again."

 

I know what races exist but the only one I'm familiar with is humans.
To learn about the other races and gather information on current events so that I can tell my people(lol what do I call them)
He does not really know formal etiquette but he can interact with commoners pretty well.
Not really as he never stays in one place for too long.

Once Asakeryu walks out of earshot, the brown-haired girl looks to the man standing next to her.
The man asks, "He was one, wasn't he?"
The girl nods. "His spiritual energy is around C-class."
"Pretty strong, then." The man says. "You sure we should let him go?"
The girl shakes her head, smiling. "I don't think he's going to cause troubles. Besides, we have to take the goods to the storehouse, and unload them until 7:oo. No time to waste, Debulan."
The man smiles and motions at the other merchants on the carriage to move the horses.
