Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Eve looks around momentarily, before heading into Alice's living room. Eve heads over to Alice's television, before putting her hand against the side of it. The television turns on if it wasn't already, switiching to a rapidly rewinding video of Eve's perspective of things; the very start showing Eve walking toward, or rather, away from Alice's house.

Eventually, the video rewinds to a day before Alice recieved the letter before it plays. Eve appears to mostly stay in her room, play video games through herself and draw members of the group, one of the drawings being of Artemis and Abigail fighting together. For the entire video, up until the time Alice received the letter, Eve doesn't write one single letter nor send one.

 

Alice nods.
"Thanks. My only question is, who would even know enough about you to pull something that close off?"

 

"Aj, the technicians and engineers who work on me and created me, and, in the case of framing by handwriting, anyone who has recieved or seen a physical letter written by me." Eve lists.

 

"We'd need someone with both conditions. Anyone?"

 

"Hmm..." Eve thinks, before listing a large number of people, mostly technicians, who meet both conditions.

 

"Great. If you could write or print that list, I'd at least have something to give my boss that'd let me sleep." She yawns.

 

Eve looks for the nearest piece of blank paper, before writing down every name she listed.

"You shouldn't stress yourself too hard, Alice. Stress can be fatal." Katie says, concerned.

 

"If stress was fatal, I'd have been dead when the Hive Master tried fifty curses before deciding which one I'd be stuck with. Have you tried being literally heartless? Still as a statue, unable to defend yourself?! Becoming an ancient construct who is nothing more than a puppet?!" Alice half-shouts, freaking out.

 

"I-I'm sorry." Katie stutters, intimidated by Alice, fear in her eyes.

Eve gives the pair a glance as she writes.

 

Alice sighs.
"No, I shouldn't have snapped. My problems are mine alone." She utters, gulping down an entire pot of coffee at once.

 

"W-Well, try not to get too stressed over them, ok?" Katie asks, recovering.

 

"Yeah, I'll try. Sorry about that, once again."
Pause.
"Eve, can you send that in to my boss in my stead? I need sleep sometime this week, and I'd like to make up as much sleep as possible for it."

 

"I shall hand it to him personally, Detective Alice." Eve says, nodding.

 

"Thank you very much. Sorry for wasting your time. Also, sorry for dragging you over, Katie. I'm sure you have other places to be."

 

"I was just going to go home to get a charm. It's fun meeting up with friends!" Katie says happily.

"Time was not wasted, we have used it appropriately." Eve says.

 

"Well, you be safe out there. This reality is a hell of a lot nicer than mine in so many ways. I'm gonna get what sleep I can... thanks for stopping by." Alice yawns.

 

"It was nice seeing you!" Katie says happily, leaving with Eve. Eve teleports to the detectives offices, heading to the Head Detective's office while Katie teleports to the portal room, opening up a portal to her home.

 

"Same."

Sgavrinn tugs at Artemis' quiver.
"Are we going back soon? Xlentia just got mad at Sapphire because she thinks Sapphire made us go home."

 

"When Abigail's feeling better." Artemis says kindly, petting Sgavrinn.

"Hey guys, there's a concert going on tonight in the main part of town. Do you wanna go?" Abigail asks, leaning through the doorway to the living room.

"Sounds pretty fun." I say, smiling.

"Yeah, I guess we could go if you want to, Abigail." Artemis says happily.

"Oh, really? Awesome!" Abigail says happily.

 

Sgavrinn seems curious.
"What's a concert, and can I go?"
