[rp] Mortal 11/11

Name: He goes by Michael or Mike. Monster names can be hard for humans to pronounce.

Age/Gender: mentally 15, not sure how that corresponds if monsters age differently. Male

Race: Monster (Elemental spirit specifically lightning/electricity.

Class: uh mage?

Personality: He loves people and is quite friendly, charming and curious when he isn’t fighting. When he does fight he tends to go into a rage.

Weapon of Choice: When he's human he uses a sword about 3 feet long. It has a small cross-guard and is quite light making it able to be moved very fast and attack quickly. When he assumes his monster form he fights with claws and magic.

Secondary weapon: He carries a bow when assuming human shape. I guess this correlates to the bolts of lightning he throws when using monster form?

Description: Human: A boy that stands about 5’ 10” (in American measurement. This would be slightly less than two meters metric.) He usually wears a lightning blue knee length cloak without a hood and carries his sword and bow on his back.

Monster: This appears more as a panther/tiger looking thing that has dark almost black skin and lightning blue claws and teeth as well as lightning blue stripes. These tend to glow when he uses magic.

Backstory: Michael was sent by his parents and their village/monster group to learn about and build relationships with the other races. This is why he loves asking question and learning all he can about the other races and their magic.

Fighting style: Now this wasn't required but I thought I should add that he has the ability to “Blink “ or teleport somewhere within 20 feet of himself in monster form. However he has to see his destination or have been their so he cant just teleport into a locked windowless room he never entered. This blink does cost more “mana” then any other magic he has but it is useful to confuse opponents or land finishing blows.

Affiliation: He helps those who can't help themselves if he finds them but mostly he's just exploring the world. So goodish?

Others: This is an original monster somewhat so I have a lack of lore from outside sources. Please tell me if I need to add more info.

Dragons are feared by people, even by elves. Since you have obvious marking of your dragon blood on your face, do you try to hide them? If yes, how?

-Those sailors are the only one that know I'm a dragon.
-I cover my facial marks by wearing a scarf that goes around my mouth. (Marks on my body are covered by clothes)
-While the campaign is going, I'll think about my opinion of the races.
-I'll interact with people as if I'm the same. (Ofcourse when I'm in human form)
-I want to gain experience from my travels. I also want to make friends and gain respect (people not being scared of me because I'm a dragon).

-Not really. He doesn't consider anyone in Rehniar his enemy, only potential clients or obstacles. Or both.
-Most certainly. From stealing of government documents to sabatoging food supplies.
-Someone who says they are actually more legitimate than the current King and that they should be crowned. Fen'ris was hired by the King to take the pretender down.

-He has someone who operates in Aurallium. The two of them have spheres of influence, and if, say, a target crosses into the other's sphere, it's their responsibility.

Rathius
5:05 PM Day 1

Rathius looks back towards the merchants. They have already gone, their boat only a dot in the distance.
He stretched up. He could've flown to Talmnátia, but that would only scare others away. Now, it was time to head to a town to spend the night.
You are at the place with rivers meeting the ocean, between Lasdor and Oaken.

A. Lasdor, the port town. 1 Hour walk.
B. Oaken, the forest town. 1.5 hour walk.

Fen'ris
6:32 PM Day 1

Fen'ris slumps down on the table. He is in a bar named the Wild Boar, Oaken's bar where shady people came to drink. All around Fen'ris, people shout over each other and some fight. Fen'ris pays them no mind. He has sent his monsters Basil and Scar back to the inn. Fen'ris trusts Basil and Scar, as he has travelled with them for over eight years.
Fen'ris sighs and spreads the scroll on the table. He has received it from an Arcuntar soldier, who claimed to be a captain of Rehniar army. On the piece of parchment has the message from the young King himself, Rumilius. It asks Fen'ris to capture a pretender to the throne. The man, whose name is Larbi, claims to be the old king's adopted son, and was challenging Rumilius for the throne. Larbi is currently in Oaken getting support from the townspeople.
Normally, Fen'ris would assassinate the target, but the letter said specifically to capture him. Capturing a political figure would be a pain, but he would be able to manage it. He sighs and starts to roll up the letter.
You hear someone come next to you. You turn to your left and see a cloaked figure sit down, a seat apart from you.

Rathius: "Let's see if I can find anything in Lasdor. Those friendly sailors said it would be a nice place to start my adventure."

 

Well, 2-hour delay, so might as well do it now.

-He went to Oaken due to his curiosity about the outside world. It was really just a trip there. He goes there sometimes since it's forested and in a nation accepting of monsters.
-Only a rogue that helped him get out of a Vilphan from Aurallim forming a contract with him. The Vilphan died in the process, but it was covered up quite well and nobody knows.
-He did spend some time studying them (again, curious), so he knows a little about most species, though most of his knowledge of the races lies in Dragons, Monsters, and Demons. He cannot, for the life of him, understand the human persona, however.
-He is in favor of a war, but he's really built for small skirmishes instead of large battles. For that reason, he probably won't fight in the important battles, but he's willing to fight for Rehniar in skirmishes, preferably with up to 5 people on each side.
-Well, he essentially has social anxiety. He can interact with humans, but is nervous doing so. Fortunately, he's not the "kill first, ask questions later" kind of character... Normally

 

Vysticia
7:00 PM Day 1 (these time does not relate to real life, I just stated them so you can see if it's day or night in the RP.)

"Jastorel!" Vysticia hisses. The large man turns to her. "Do I really have to do this?" She says, her face showing the reluctance of the Rogues' plan.

The leader of the Rogues smile. He gives Vysticia a thumbs-up, which Vysticia ignores. She snorts quietly and look up. Sylvia, Ben and Hasher, all members of the Rogues and Vysticia's friends, nod at her from the house's roof, where they lie down flat against the wooden material. Vysticia fiddles with the casual clothing she was forced to wear. Vysticia barely wore casual clothes anymore, as she travelled in her light armour. She felt vulnerable and bare without them.

Jastorel nods behind Vysticia. She nods and walks out of the corner, looking as casual and innocent as possible.

The bandits notice her. Vysticia turns, putting on a surprised face, as the bandits grin to each other and rush at her. Vysticia gives a lame cry, and attempts to run away. She then pretends to fall down. She turns and looks up at the bandits as they grab Vysticia's wrists. She weakly kicks at the one in front of her, but the man catches her ankle and yank it down. Vysticia cries - this time for real, for it really did hurt - and stops struggling. The bandits tie a rope around her wrist behind her back, so tightly that the scars on her wrist hurt. As the bandits take her away to the rest of the village who have also been captured, Vysticia looks up at the roof. Sylvia nods at her with a smile.

Rathius
6:15 PM Day 1

Rathius groans as he walks up the hill, from where the whole of Lasdor town comes into view. Since this was the first time he has walked this far in human form, his feet hurt. His boots were oddly tight around his ankles, and it gave him pain every step. I need a new pair of boots, Rathius thinks.

He stops in front of the fences that surrounds the town. Rehniar towns were well built: They always had some sort of defence around it. Two guards walk up to Rathius as he approaches.

"Halt, traveller!" One of the soldier says. "What brings a young, lone traveller to Lasdor?"
