argon would be the only one to work because remember it has to be related to a gas and argon is a noble gas.

This means that the whatever chemical is flammable, right?

 

I thought about oxygen, which also number 8 so its a part of the 38, but nothing
also ozone which is 3 times oxygen, didnt work

The key is three-eight, which many of you thought it was Strontium since it is the 38th element in the Periodic Table

But since it is a flammable gas (it could be burned up as said), we have to find a natural gas that is flammable and also related to three eight.

Well guess what

PROPANE

It is found in natural gas pockets(mentioned in thread), a flammable gas(mentioned too), and its formula is C3H8.

 

Yaaay! I wonder if this relates now to the DOG question?

I CRACKED IT! (I think)

So I was using other sources from the answers. The second hint isn't "Industrialized", it's the key for the Vigenere Cipher!

So we learnt that Propane is related, so I put that as the key in it. The second hint is "XCWZEFLXSOXNHW" which with the key translates to "ILIKESHIBAINUS" which can be split into "I Like Shiba Inus"

The dog they like is Shiba Inus!

2. decrypt LAFTHVWVYHTDLASHHTCCUYPJ with vigenere- THREE EIGHT IS THE SECOND KEY
3. Propain is a flameable natural gas, and its C3H8. decrypt XCWZEFLXSOXNHW with the word propain in vigenere, you get I like Shiba Inus
does it have to be the full answer? I actually solved it, but shibainus looked weird to me and i didnt know its a dog, I thought i misspelled propane so i changed it to propain... :P

That puzzle could've made so many answers. So the second hint was required in the end for any possible answer.
