Read through the diary entry carefully. What did I write about fire safety?

 

I've read that bit hundreds of time but I don't notice a connection...

 

I really wouldn't like to give away too much, but think about:
What did I say fire safety was?
What's the key to fire safety?
(also, you'll understand when you get to this, but omit "and")

This is giving away a lot, but I'm a little bit impatient. I'm hope you stick with the puzzle!

 

So is the dog a Sirius?

Spoiler: Solution

- Run through all the Ciphers, get the Atbash with "Fire Safety is"
- I learnt the "Stop Drop and Roll" which can be abbreviated into "STAR"
- The Star which most resembles some sort of dog is the Sirius Star.

I probs overthought it.

EDIT: completely wasted time.

Noticed it's not STAR, it's SDAR.

What I've been doing for a while.

Alright I've given up. My guess is when he said to omit "and" he's hinting SDR?

 

Is any1 else trying to solve it? I think I only have 1 last part left

this fire part is really easy, but for the next part I tried every single type of cipher that I could find, nothing worked

I understand the first bit "Fire Safety is" then past there I don't understand.

What I tried doing is seeing if I can find a way to get "Stop" "Drop" and "Roll" from the last part, I can get Roll and Drop, but not Stop.
My thought is if you can get the 3 words, then you could try and use the remaining letters to make a word?

Maybe it maybe not, I'm not sure what people mean. I've decoded the first clue down to '********** is the second key' (I won't spoil it). I think I'm at the same spot as you @Nirguy

Ha, the answer is definitely in there, but you have to tell me which one and how you got to it.

The part for "xxxxxx is the second key" is a little subtle, and I admit this might be a little bit of leap in logic, but think about these things:

What did I say was important?
(This hint is a little more overt)
What poured from the walls in the first place is a hint to solving the puzzle.
