This Should Not Be, Right?

I was checking my character info on a new level 41 Mage and this is how it looked:


None of my spells do anything except fire damage, while they should do like, for example TP does Thunder and Meteor does Earth, but no, they only do Fire. Somebody Please help me with this!

 

The damage info and the armor info in your compass i quite goofy and does not always function.
Do not believe the things it says. For example it can display that you have 1500 fire defence, while you really only have 100.

 

Don't worry. It's not your weapon which is glitched, but the compass.

But still, It's not only the compass, when I use the spells they do naught but Fire dmg.

 

I think that is intentional.

 

That is most likely because your wand has full fire damage. When a weapon has full damage on one element, it only does that elemental damage type.

 

Then that's straight out bad.

It was never like that before tho! And also when I try my other weapons they do damage, but not the right element and Ice snake does none.

 

Probably because all wands you used up until that point had some sort of neutral damage.

 

But the others do have neutral dmg. (Are you allowed to tag Mods? To ask them?)

 

Yes that is the point. When a weapon has neutral damage it will transform some of that neutral damage into different elements (for example meteor: 30% fire 30% earth). But when a weapon does not have neutral damage, it can not turn that neutral damage into other elemental damage (obviously) and thus only does the damage of the element on that wand.

Mostly game knowledge, i have seen it work in game myself. Some mythics i own have only 1 element type of damage, and thus only do that elements damage. When using items with neutral damage the neutral damage always seems to split up in the elements of that spell.

Just click on classes, then the class you want to check and then the spell. It should display something like this:

On the bottom you can see how much % neutral damage turns into other elemental %.

 

Actually, pure elemental damage weapons still do other elements of damage with spells, it just doesn't appear visually, which is a bug.

 

I don't believe they do... Pure elemental weapons do only the elemental damage they have, the damage is not converted through each spell's special elementals as far as I know from my research.
You might have forgot to include your Raw Spell damage, sometimes it glitches and doesn't show up but it's always doing constant damage to the enemies.
