I'm level 100 and I still use Ethereal, it's that good.

yes, only the base attack speed of the weapon though. Any +/- attack speed u get from armour does nothing to spell damage

 

wait what do you mean, i can cast spells faster with a very fast attack speed weapon compared to a normal attack speed weapon?

 

Wrong.

By way of a glitch with the swinging animation, Very Slow and Super Slow weapons can't cast spells as quickly as items with higher speed, but weapons with a Slow attack speed and higher have no spellcasting delay.

 

i'm confused

 

Slow, Normal, Fast, Very Fast, and Super Fast weapons can cast spells at the same rate. Very Slow and Super Slow weapons are bugged and can't cast spells as quickly.

also, my damage is water based, so my meteor deals water damage and a tiny bit of earth, fire and neutral. with water sanctuary, that's supposed to boost your water damage by 85%, i don't get much more damage with my meteor... why's that? i'm noticing a small difference between crystal and water sanctuary, 200-500 tops extra damage with water sanc.

 

That's interesting, I never knew that. Is it even possible to fix this?

 

I'm not exactly sure what causes it, but the general consensus is that it's due to the animation somehow interfering with the casting. Not sure if that's fixable without messing with the swing animation speed.
