Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie decides to head over to a tree and sit down, opening her tome to do some reading.

 

"What're you catching up on?"
I say, walking over, and sitting down, leaning against another part of the tree.

 

It accepts the drink, taking a mouthful of water at a time before tipping its head back to swallow.
It lets out a few grunts when finished, sniffing at Katie one more time before slowly trotting off.

"Oh? That's quite alright. You may want to mind the midday crowd, though. Just a fair warning since you seem new here."

 

"Pure mage crystals. I'm curious to see how I might be able to get one." Stephanie says, reading her tome.

"Bye!" Katie says happily, waving to the armadillo wolf, before swimming back to her iceberg.

 

It lets out a brief snort as it soon leaves sight.

 

Katie decides to watch the group from her iceberg, content with simply staying cool.

 

Ragnyon seems to still be frozen to the iceberg, and Sgavrinn seems to be holding his tail in his mouth.

 

Katie swims over to Sgavrinn, concerned.

"Are you ok, Sgavrinn?" Katie asks.

 

He lets out a whine, healing a bite wound on his tail.

 

"Oh no, what happened?" Katie asks, trying to look at Sgavrinn's wound.

 

He just whines, looking pitiful as he speeds up its healing.

 

Katie surrounds Sgavrinn's bite wound with water, trying to assist the healing.

 

It heals in less than a minute, Sgavrinn nuzzling Katie in appreciation.

 

"All better?" Katie asks, petting Sgavrinn.

 

"Oh, thanks."
Crystal steps a bit off to the side, waiting for Linoa.

"What are they? If you don't mind me intruding on your studies."

 

"They're a sort of concentrated mage crystal with a lot more power than a normal one. See, this type of pure mage crystal was used by an terramancer, and they were able to create an entire mountain with it!" Stephanie says, pointing to a drawing of a greenish-brown crystal. The words 'Pure Terra Crystal' are above it, a large description and stories alongside it.

 

He nods, humming.

Linoa eventually comes down.
"Crystal, you done seeing how the sands work?"

 

"Interesting. How many mages would it normally take to make a mountain like that?"

"Yeah. It just kinda looked like quicksand, and it scared me."

 

Katie smiles, petting Sgavrinn some more before swimming back to her iceberg.

"A lot more than just one, I can tell you that." Stephanie says, smiling, turning the page. A firey red crystal is drawn on the next page, 'Pure Ignis Crystal' written above it. It seems there's a strange runic language under the picture, probably on the previous one for the terra crystal too.

 

"In that case, I'll tip the hostess and we'll get going. Sorry, Rit!" Linoa says, tossing a coin over to the counter.
"It's fine, dragonborn. Have a nice day you two!"
