Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Stephanie starts stitching together the holes in the voodoo dolls mouth. It seems as soon as it was bound, the voodoo doll became rather charred with some holes in it; mirroring Linoa. As Stephanie stitches up the voodoo doll's holes, Linoa feels the various burnt off parts of her re-attach themselves and stitch together perfectly.

 

After she's finished, Linoa sighs.
"Thanks. Now... I need to forget about her. Or at least, help the Anubi forget she desecrated a body..."


Sgavrinn seems to be hesitant to sleep on the muddy ground for the night, whimpering.

 

"I don't think you should forget Abigail. She has a habit of burning herself into your memory," Stephanie says, trying to lighten the mood, "She'll probably come to apologise, though."


Artemis calls Sgavrinn over. It seems she's made a small house out of wood, vines and leaves. It's big enough for her, myself and Sgavrinn to sleep in.

 

"Where I come from, apologies that are mere words are nothing more." Linoa says grudgingly.


He slides inside, humming at the invite.

You feel familiar eyes nearby.

 

"If you want Abigail to burn you to death, go ahead." Stephanie says idly.


I look around, suspicious.

 

"She seems like the Hive Master, to be honest. Self centered, burns first, asks later..." Linoa grumbles. "I frankly would be surprised if she even apologizes."


You meet a familiar pair of eyes.
The drow seem to be watching over you.

 

"She's not like that. The reason she's so...prickly, is because...well. She hasn't exactly had the best experiences in life." Stephanie says, trying to explain as respectfully as she can.


"Hey!" I sign, waving. I summon the skull the drow gave me before, showing it and pointing at it to show I'm not a threat.

 

"Pfft, don't even get me started with that bullshit!" Linoa laughs. "In our world she'd be publicly executed for that. Even if it's not your fault, you gotta suck it up as a draconian."


They nod.
"Protect. Sleep well." They sign back.

 

Stephanie sighs, leaving the cave.

"I'll be back in a bit." Stephanie says, looking saddened.


"Thanks!" I sign, before heading into the small house Artemis made.

 

"Don't go try pinning Xlentia with that. Gods get slack!" She calls. "And watch out for the bandits!"


Ragnyon ends up waking up attached to the iceberg, looking around to see if Katie or Myria are in sight.

 

"Yeah..." Stephanie says, flying off on her broom. Stephanie flies over to Abigail not too far away, talking to her.


Katie lies asleep on the iceberg, but Myria is nowhere to be seen. She wasn't ever with the group, it seems.

 

Linoa recalls her staff and messes around with a holographic display emitted from the crystal near the tip.


Concerned, Ragnyon attempts to reach out to her.

 

It's a long while before Stephanie returns to the cave.

"I'm going to go back to the group." Stephanie says.


"Yes?" Myria responds.

 

"You gonna unparalyze me?" Linoa asks.


"Didn't want to come exploring with us?"

 

"Oh, yeah." Stephanie says, untying the voodoo doll and restoring movement to Linoa. Stephanie leaves the cave, heading away from it.

"Let's go." Linoa can hear Stephanie say.


"I have a few things I need to do. I'll come and meet up with the group when I'm done, though." Myria responds.

 

"I'll be back tomorrow night." Linoa tells Stephanie telepathically.


"Okay, sorry to bother. We went to Asimuul, so you don't go to the wrong world."

 

"Alright." Stephanie responds.


"You're not bothering, but I shall remember where to go." Myria responds, before cutting the connection.

Ragnyon can see Stephanie and an elemental form Abigail flying toward the group.

 

Ragnyon surfaces and waves them over.

 

Stephanie flies over, while Abigail seems extremely cautious of even the mud. Abigail hardens the mud until it's completely solid before landing on it.

"Linoa really pissed Abigail off. Is there any non-wetland around here?" Stephanie asks.

 

"Unfortunately, no. Also, Abigail needs to mind the fire. There are drow everywhere, and they don't hesitate to avenge nature."
