Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

The only difference is that the doll looks a hell of a lot more trusting and marginally less pissed than Linoa.
"...I'm curious to see of we'll get along in the coming days." She sighs.

 

Stephanie tosses Linoa the doll.

"It's unbound, so you can light it on fire and you'll be fine." Stephanie says.

 

"Made it yourself? The space, I mean."

 

The doll is shoved into a pocket dimension.
"I hope it stays that way." She grunts.

...
Once inside Asimuul, the group appears at a clearing. There's a desert on one side, forest on the other with a chasm in between, and mountains off to the side of each... sort of.

 

"Not really. I don't think anyone can create an entire dimension by themselves." Stephanie says, smiling.

Stephanie just sighs, saddened slightly, taking out a green potion and sipping it as she reads.


"That forest looks nice." Artemis says happily.

"Oh yeah, I've been here before. There are these cool people who gave me a skull who live in trees." I say happily.

 

"Scouted this place out, already?" Rineth asks.
"Where do you think we should start?"

Linoa seems open to do whatever, and Sgavrinn's still tagging along right next to Rineth.

 

"Well, considering what I've seen on this adventure, someone can."

 

"The desert looks warm." Abigail says, looking toward the desert.

"No, do not go into the desert. That place is scary as all hell." I say, serious.

"Jeez, ok. I guess forest then?" Abigail asks.

"Forest seems good." Artemis says happily.

"It's really quite nice." I say, agreeing.

"I like the idea of the forest. That desert looks too hot for me." Katie says worriedly.

"Who?" Stephanie asks, suspicious.

 

Linoa speaks up.
"What's in the desert? I'd go with her, if she really wants to go."

Rineth and Sgavrinn start walking deeper into the forest. Again, the first thing you notice is the armadillo-wolf, though it now is curious about everyone.

 

"I dunno, but between the levels of a shadow king and somewhere along the Hive Master, there's someone."

 

"Sand sharks. You try and dig a hole then BAM scary shark looking right up at you." I say, serious.

"Really?" Abigail asks, unimpressed.

"Hey, those things scared the fuck out of me." I say.

"Can I go with you, Linoa?" Abigail asks, looking toward Linoa.


Artemis observes the trees in the forest, looking for any fruit-bearing ones.

"You phrased that like you knew who it was." Stephanie says, still suspicious.

 

"I don't, I'm just stating things based on existing facts."

 

"Oh, alright." Stephanie says, before putting her attention back onto her tome.

 

I peer at what she's looking at once more.

 

It's just more research on the horned creatures, exploring their blood-colour governed society. Stephanie seems to notice you looking, but doesn't appear to mind.

 

Linoa nods, making room on her staff.

"Crystal, I'm heading to the desert. You wanna come, or stick with Rineth?"

 

"Oh, 's cool." Abigail says, lifting herself off the ground with her rocket boots.

"Don't get eaten by a giant worm in the desert." I warn.

"That was a movie, Aj." Abigail says flatly.

 

"I'll come with you guys."
Crystal says excited.

I stop looking, waiting around for us to get moving.

 

"Prefer that over a witch's broom? Hehee, those are neat!"

Sgavrinn seems to have spotted a fruit-bearing tree for Artemis.

"Cool. Let's go, then!" Linoa says, turning towards the desert.

 

"Steph has a witches broom. I don't know how she stays on it, though." Abigail says.

Stephanie sighs, closing her tome and putting it away, before summoning a floating broom and sitting on it, flying over to Abigail and Linoa.

"It's not that hard." Stephanie says, floating on her broom.


Artemis latches a vine onto the tree before swinging over to it, climbing the vine and picking one of the fruits.
