Are Armor Skins Still A Thing?

There is this massive whole in when i played the game between about a month into the original gavel update and about 2 months ago. Before gavel there used to be armor skins, are they still here because i see a lot of threads mentioning them still being here. Yet I haven't seen them on any character, including my own. I use the server texture pack, and I use 1.8.9.

 

Short answer: No.

Long answer: Noooooo.

 

Mojang said no, due to the suspicious way they worked, which was to literally alter a character's skin. Unless there is a way to make all armour pieces unique without literally changing your skin, they will most likely not be coming back unfortunately.

 

There's no more armour skins, they were done in cheaty ways which Mojang blocked unfortunately

 

Well thats unfortunate. I actually was one of the few who liked armor skins.

Then how can hypixel use it?

 

1. They're changing the whole skin.
2. Hypixels skins are no longer here.

TL:DR Mojang sucks

 

hypixel does a lot of things wynncraft couldn't get past mojang
for example I think ranks get extra coins/exp and you can buy personal boosters instead of server wide

 

no when they are ingame all player get more coins

Personal boosters can not be bought and are given out for stuff like liking them on facebook all ranks could get the same amount of personal boosters

 

But Hypixel change the skin completely while Wynn only altered a small part of it. And i didn't know they still had them.

I also liked them, but i am quite shocked that Hypixel changes the full player skins in mega walls, but Wynncraft isnt allowed to... Cmon

 

Huh, I never really thought about that...
