Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Not yet, but I haven't looked."
I start looking for one.

Crystal continues to watch.

 

You can't find one either.

 

"Nothing. Where should it be?"

 

"uhm, i think so." Onyx says, falling over once she reaches the ground.

 

"Computer console. Used to control the cryogenics."

"Oh, you talk! Why didn't you just ask, you little cutie?" Xlentia asks, demeanor changing rapidly.

 

"Okay, but where should it be?"

 

"Hell if I know. Haven't been here in a few millennia."

 

"Alright, then. We've got some searching to do."
I start off in one direction.

 

"i just wanted to play in the gold pile. it feels nice." Onyx says, tail waving behind her back. A pair of claws can be seen protruding past Onyx's hands, looking rather sharp.

 

Rineth starts climbing on the cryotubes leading up to the ceiling, checking for an elevated console.

"Okay, then! I do too. Just don't steal any, okay dear?"

 

I continue walking and searching.

 

"why would i pawssibly want gold?" Onyx asks, seeming actually confused at what seems to be a rhetorical question.

 

After a few minutes, still nothing, as Rineth descends.
"Anything?"

"Just don't take any, I'll get mad. If you just want to play in it, go right ahead!" Xlentia says cheerfully, swishing her tail into the pile so it slides towards Onyx.

 

"Nope. How do you know that there even is a console?"

 

"Something has to be controlling this."

 

Onyx jumps into the pile, climbing up to the top of it before picking up coins and throwing them down, seeing how many it takes to make an avalanche occur before clapping happily and doing it again, eventually using her body to activate the avalanches of coins and sliding down the pile.

 

"Maybe a remote, or a robot, or a mage?"
I offer.

 

Doesn't take many, and it's super loud.
...but super fun.
Xlentia seems to be having fun watching Onyx play.

"A mage? This would take either a preserver or a bunch of Cryos... neither of which are present, at that."

 

"Yeah... what could control this..."

 

Rineth keeps looking around, frustrated.
"This makes no sense..."
