"Isn't a charge the amount of magic required to revive someone from death?" Stephanie asks, "The amount of magic in a normal being?"

 

"A charge is the most magic a human can safely contain in their body on average. Now, my tendrils will glow brighter if they contain energy. Of course, at the moment, they don't."

 

"So how many charges do you need for Ihra?" Stephanie asks.

 

"Two hundred to repair her soul, another hundred and fifty to restore her knowledge, and finally a hundred for her body. So, four hundred and fifty."

Stephanie flips through her tome, wandering around Xlentia's chamber and muttering something about crystals and Shadows.

"I think I can pull some strings to get it done. Are you sure you can do it all yourself with the charges?" Stephanie asks, suspicious.

 

"I'll be in the portal room. Lin... please go somewhere else for now."

"Yes, I'm sure."

 

"C'mon, let's go find someone."
I urge Linoa.

 

She nods.
"If you're wondering, we were forcefully married. I fell for him, but he never quite did." She whispers.

 

"Oh."
I whisper back, starting to exit.
"Parents?"

 

"Ok, I'll see what I can do." Stephanie says, drinking the rest of her red potion.

 

Xlentia gasps.
"Oh, and 300 for me to even be able to work with all that. Killing me won't do you any good."

"Hive Master."

 

"Well...I guess I can try." Stephanie says, uneasy, pulling out a purple potion which she takes large sips of.

 

"I hope you're not trying to do all that yourself..." Xlentia says, concerned.

 

"...Why? That doesn't really seem like a necessity. Unless he wanted a favor back from you."

 

Stephanie laughs nervously.

"No, I'll have help...hopefully." Stephanie says, drinking her potion.

 

"Take the gene pool of the strongest endurance flier and the strongest polearm warrior. Pick and choose what to clone."

"Once again, doesn't seem necessary if he just wants you two to have sex."
I state bluntly.
"Unless I'm missing something."

 

"I won't...probably." Stephanie says, drinking the rest of her potion.

 

"Marrying before... that. It's nearly a century long process."
