Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Sapphire weaves a curtain and opens a small portal.
"Okay, n-nobody's looking, but I m-might when I join you..."

 

Stephanie quickly stumbles through the portal, immediately puking up a lot, toilet or no toilet.

 

The portal leads to a guard rail overlooking a sweet smelling yet miasmic swamp. The scent calms Stephanie's stomach down a bit, but Sapphire steps through and hurls shortly afterwards, albeit from a different direction off the rail.

 

Stephanie falls over after throwing up the majority of her stomach, trembling and weakly opening a light blue potion which she chugs.

"W-W-W-Why d-d-did I d-do that..." Stephanie mutters to herself, holding back the urge to eject the potion from her system. A few tears run down Stephanie's face, caused by a mix of puking, fear and disgust.

 

"W-what was t-that potion?"
Sapphire pauses to hurl.
"I-if it makes you feel a-any better, I-i'm really genderless..."

 

"I-It tastes n-nice, f-freshens breath and w-whitens teeth..." Stephanie says weakly, "W-Well...at least I didn't r-really kiss a girl..."

Stephanie shakily offers Sapphire a light blue potion.

 

Sapphire shakes her head in denial.
"I-I'm f-fine... mostly..."

 

Stephanie downs the potion, not even stopping to take a breath. Stephanie then takes out a vibrant red potion, sipping it gently.

 

Sapphire seems to slowly recover just from the scent of the swamp.
"I-I'm gonna go back... s-should I let Rineth or Xlentia know you're en route?"

 

"I might as well go see Xlentia..." Stephanie says, getting up. She seems to look mostly recovered, but she still sips the red potion.

"If anyone asks, a love potion broke when you tackled me." Stephanie says, serious.

 

Sapphire winks, holding a broken bottle with a faux love potion.

 

"Thanks, Sapphie." Stephanie says, looking relieved.

 

"Let's go back. I'll let Xlentia know you're en route. And, um... I'm kind of travelling with your group now. Since I... um... got fired."

 

"You got fired?" Stephanie asks, confused.

 

"I used to work for Xlentia. Except the corrupted Xlentia fired me, and the normal Xlentia said she didn't need to rehire me yet. So... um..." Sapphire sighs.
"I... I-I'll see you in her chambers."

 

"Good luck." Stephanie says, expecting Sapphire to open a portal back.

 

"Oh, my apologies. I was referring to you and Crystal."
I say to Linoa, smiling.

 

The portal never shut.

Linoa laughs harder.
"Well, won't matter much soon. How long until you guys depart?"

 

Stephanie heads through the portal, heading down the staircase of the library and going to the exit.

 

Nobody seems to have noticed the... incident.
