So I've noticed for a while on a bunch of various items that there are *'s after some identifications, but what do they mean? 2017-03-03_18.04.03.png

    Uh, stop telling lies.
or look into my guide thread here.
    https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/how-identifications-are-calculated.128923/

    Positive ID has 30%-130% range,
    No Star = 30%-100%
    * = 101% - 124%
    ** = 125% - 129%
    *** = 130%

So, having one or more stars means your ID is better than Average ID, and it's a "Good" ID.

I didn't know we had exact numbers. What do they mean, exactly?

EDIT: Nevermind, we got real numbers now
It's true though? You can get the max ID with only 2 stars.

The word "Above Average ID" means the roll from 81% to 130%.
Having one star means the roll from 101% to 124%.
You should try reading that my ID calculation guide thread .-.

literally what mine says? I'm not lying?

Ok, only difference is that I'm off by 1. Based off of my experience as a programmer, it doesn't determine a random number between 30-130, and isntead rolls 1-100 and adds it to 30.

@Nyam when you do calculations for items, why is it always 1/101 instead of 100?

So... It's still true. I don't really care for IDs past being able to answer basic questions, which is why I'm not going to bother reading the thread.

Well it might be yes, when the actual code plays in, but the way you explained will most likely cause a misunderstanding, so I just corrected it to the well-known numbers.
Also the numbers of integers between 30 and 130 is 101.
