Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Okay. Thank you. I will notify the elders of your intentions to return."

 

"I am sure that you will find the forest protector quite pleasant to interact with." I sign, smiling before jumping down from the trees.

 

They bow as you leave.
You land on the wolf-armadillo, which snorts as you impact it.

 

"Why are you still here..." I say flatly.

 

It grunts back, curiously sniffing you before starting to wander away.

 

I walk off through the forest, zoning out as I do.

 

You end up getting startled by a familiar growling tail attached to a sleeping beast.
Who frankly, doesn't even appear remotely threatening.

 

"How did you get here?" I ask, Shadow Katana readied.

I side step the tail and continue onward.

 

Seems you just haven't been in a straight line.
The beast opens an eye to your words, then yawns before getting up and looking at your blade with innocent curiosity.

 

I keep Shadow Katana ready as I walk past the beast, cautious.

 

The tail growls, and, somewhat amusingly, the beast grabs it and shoves it into the ground before following you with childlike curiosity.

 

I decide to run up a tree, darting through them to try and get rid of the beast.

 

Glancing back, the beast lost your trail. It glares at its tail as it slumps again, falling back asleep.

 

I stay in the trees for a bit, moving through them, before dropping down and continuing on.

"Thanks, Artemis." I say to myself, relieved.

 

After a few minutes, you're back to the portal.

 

I decide to jump through the portal, realising I've probably spent a quite some time away. I decide to look around to see if anyone's nearby.

 

Sgavrinn and Ragnyon are still nearby.
"Geez, you must've been really interested in that one!" She comments.

 

"I sort of waited a bit for things to happen, then zoned out," I say, "Did Artemis swing by while I was away?"

 

"Nah, you've got exactly an hour."

 

"Oh, really? Jeez, I don't know what to do then," I say, getting a little stressed, "Artemis said she had something special planned for us, I don't want to miss it."
