Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"How did you get to ours?"

 

"Ehm... is metal supposed to do that?"
"Well, with you, I don't exactly know, but I don't think so. Try once more."
Crystal repeat the action, slowly cutting through the dummy's right shoulder.

 

After a few seconds, it phases again.
It behaves just like the last time.

 

"I dunno. I was just going to get popcorn out of reality and then I fell through a tear into yours." I say, shrugging.

 

"He would therefore be able to do similar."

 

Crystal tries again without warning, but takes his blade away before it phases out, checking for the metal on his hand.

 

"How?" I ask, "Even if he possessed a weapon that could cut the fabric of reality, being able to control where you go and managing to cut yourself out takes a hell of a lot of finesse and skill; I've not always got to my location every time I've done it."

 

It's sticky, until it phases out again.
The routine seems to repeat every five seconds.

"Who said he'd do it himself?"

 

"Ok, even if an army got through, I'm sure the gods of our reality would have no trouble wiping them out." I say, teleporting Ragnyon, Sgavrinn and I to the entrance of the Shadow palace.

 

"An army wouldn't be the problem. Mind controlled gods, on the other hand, would be." Ragnyon says, hoping Sgavrinn doesn't see Gaia and bolt off towards her instead of following you.

 

"Ok, but how would a god get out of being frozen in time the instant they appear, shrunk down to the size of an ant and being crushed with the strength of a black hole while also having their life being sucked out of them rapidly?" I ask.

 

By cancelling the time freeze with our god of time, prevent being shrunk I'm not sure, but the black hole would be cancelled or used for energy. As for the life drain, that's so easy to reverse it'd be a nonfactor in a god vs god confrontation."

 

"Ok, but how would they counter it if they were obliterated with mass force all concentrated within the tiniest amount of time it happens almost instantly?" I ask.

 

"By doing the same, the entropy going on to annihilate whatever remains of yours while weakening every god."

 

"And what if, for every advantage or move they made, it was simply reversed a thousand times until they never made it, and their opposition were given an upper hand?" I ask.

 

"It would be an eternal stalemate until that reality itself was destroyed, both sets of gods with it. In theory."

 

"Then the reality would collapse and our gods would escape through time and space." I say.

 

"So would ours, thus the cycle continues eternally."

 

"Not if they were trapped. It's not their reality, remember?" I say.

 

"Doesn't stop them from cutting out of it, which they would have to be able to do in order to get here."
