Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"I have a few spare crystal balls around if you'd like one." Praecantatia offers kindly.

 

"The one I lost was passed down from the first prophet. It's kind of special to me, so thanks but no thanks."

 

"I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you find it again." Praecantatia says sympathetically, getting up from her chair and offering a hand for Ragnyon to climb on. It seems Praecantatia wears a pair of smart black trousers and dark purple boots.

 

Ragnyon sighs.
"I can't climb."

 

"Oh, sorry!" Praecantatia says, picking Ragnyon up and gently putting her in the centre of her palm, before heading out of the room. Praecantatia heads down a hallway to a door on the opposite side, opening it to reveal a living room; Tenebrae and Gaia watching the TV.

"Ragnyon's ready to go." Praecantatia announces.

"Aw, do we have to go now?" Gaia asks, "It's just getting to the good bit!"

 

"I can wait. It's all I ever do." She sighs.

 

"Come on, Grace, we shouldn't impose on Phoebe." Tenebrae says, getting up.

Gaia sighs, getting up and following Tenebrae. Praecantatia slides Ragnyon onto Tenebrae's hand.

"It was nice seeing you again, Phoebe." Tenebrae says happily.

"Yeah, it feels like we don't see you as much as we used to." Gaia says.

Praecantatia shrugs, "I don't get around much. I like it here." She says offhandedly.

Tenebrae opens a portal to the Realm of Shadows, and Gaia steps through, Tenebrae nodding to Praecantatia before heading through herself.

 

Ragnyon waves before Tenebrae steps through.
"Um... thanks for this, you two. And I'm sorry to be a bother and drag."

 

"You weren't a bother or a drag! We got to see Phoebe again!" Gaia says happily.

"Are you alright, Ragnyon? You seem depressed." Tenebrae asks, concerned.

 

"I just feel responsible for the fact that I was being used to mind control Xlentia. That, and I can't do much to make up for the troubles I've caused."

 

"Have you asked her for forgiveness?" Tenebrae asks.

 

"I've been forgiven, but that's not what I mean. It's like, if Aj went and killed half the people in the realm of light without you knowing, would you feel responsible?"

 

"Partially." Tenebrae says.

 

"Well, that's how I feel... he used me to control gods..."

 

"I'd feel responsible because I could have done something if I'd known. You couldn't." Tenebrae says.

 

"I... was forced to serve him. He had me imprisoned, and bled me for my powers daily. When I refused... well, he impaled me. It's a miracle I'm still alive." Ragnyon sighs.

 

"Exactly. You couldn't have done anything to stop it, you were forced. If I found out Aj was killing light creatures, I would stop him." Tenebrae explains.

 

"I could've killed myself." Ragnyon says, surprisingly serious.

 

Tenebrae goes quiet, unable to find a suitable response.

 

"If I had just gotten the courage to do it back then, I could've stopped so much of this..." Ragnyon utters, tearing up.
