Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Ugh, this doesn't make sense." The goddess says, thinking hard.

 

"I-it's okay if you can't help... I just want new braces soon. Maybe you could help make longer lasting ones, particularly for my neck?" Ragnyon asks.

 

"Braces? You mean you want to be chained up?" The goddess asks.

 

She slides off her wing braces, and they weakly flop down.
"I can't stand, hold things, stay balanced, or breathe if my head, tail, ankles, wrists, and wings don't have braces over the wounds." She responds.

 

"I'll see if I can make you something." The goddess says, rubbing her head and sighing.

 

"I-I'm sorry, it's f-fine... I'll b-be okay."

 

"No, it's fine. I insist," The goddess says, clearing away some space on her desk and getting a few tools ready, "What's your magic type?"

OOC: Chose a slightly brighter text colour because the previous one was hurting my eyes.

"I use blood magic." Ragnyon replies, ducking.

 

OOC: Is there a problem with it?


The goddess grabs a few small red crystals, putting them with her tools, before getting a few metal bars ready. The goddess reaches over to the other side of her desk, grabbing a piece of paper and a pencil, before gently picking up some of Ragnyon's dropped braces and drawing sketches and measurements of them.

"Can I use your TV, Phoebe?" Gaia asks, looking a little bored.

"Sure, it's in the other room." The goddess says, pointing to a pair of doors nearby. Gaia and Tenebrae leave the room, heading through the doors.

 

Ragnyon, braceless, lays there like a ragdoll.

 

The goddess starts fusing together metals, before cutting small braces out. To Ragnyon, however, they're the perfect size. The goddess idly picks Ragnyon up, moving her off to the side as she works.

 

She squirms a bit after relocation, then gasping for air briefly.

 

"You ok?" The goddess asks, pausing and looking at Ragnyon.

 

"Put me down funny. Couldn't breathe. Doing okay."

 

The goddess goes back to making the braces, embedding the red crystals into the finished ones.

A long while later, the goddess finishes making all the braces, picking Ragnyon up and gently putting them onto her.

"How does that feel?" The goddess asks.

 

"Good. They feel like they won't need to be replaced or regrown like the wooden ones." She comments, now able to sit up.

 

"They should last quite a long time, and they're immune to things like rust or weathering. The crystals on them should help with your blood magic." The goddess says, smiling. Ragnyon notices signatures lightly cut into each of the braces, reading 'Praecantatia'

 

She nods.
"Thank you, but I don't know how much it'll help. My blood is... unique."

 

"It should be able to keep you from draining yourself to dangerously low levels while sustaining the same amount of power, at least." Praecantatia says, smiling.

 

"If it prevents me from killing myself, then that's a plus. I just can't do anything without my crystal ball." Ragnyon sighs. "On that note... thank you. And it was nice meeting you."
