Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Ragnyon doesn't seem to be fazed by the scale, but just keeps quiet.

 

"You ok?" Gaia asks, lifting Ragnyon up.

 

"Yeah. It's just a bit nerve racking meeting so many gods in a row, and in such a short time..." She sighs.

 

"I've never really understood that, but I guess I am a goddess myself." Gaia laughs.

 

"Well, our gods have a tendency to be on the hostile side. Even our Gaia was having doubts with all the mortal unrest." She sighs again, serious. "Think of it like meeting up with someone you never met who has the ability to kill you in the blink of an eye. Multiple times."

 

"They don't sound like very good gods then. Even Max, the God of Death, doesn't go around killing everyone he sees." Gaia says, sounding rather annoyed at the alternate gods.

"He only kills if someone's circumvented their fate, or are due to die." Tenebrae says, turning slightly.

 

"If your children all turned on you one day and wouldn't rest until you died... would you forgive them, or fight them?"

 

Crystal holds out his hand.
"C'mon!"
I smile, walking over and taking his hand, and looking at the positions of the dummies as Crystal forms around me.

 

"Uhm..." Gaia says, thinking.

"Wipe them out and bring them back fresh. Reset." Tenebrae says flatly.

 

They're in three squares, tweve total.

"And if they managed to deny you that ability?" Ragnyon asks, turning to Tenebrae. "Or, what if Gaia's children turned onto you?"

 

"Such a thing would be impossible, the Shadows are part of myself," Tenebrae says, turning to Ragnyon, "Should Gaia's children turn to me, however, then I'd ask Gaia to sort them out."

 

"And if yours were threatening Gaia at the same time, or they wouldn't listen to her?" Ragnyon asks.
"Point is, my reality's a mess. And I want to fix it. Except I'm not very useful."

 

"I believe it would be the god's fault for letting their reality get to that state, then," Tenebrae says, "Lex recently had to completely wipe out his realm and children and create them anew. They were enslaving Gaia's children and dabbling in magitech that would cause chaos across the universe."

"I have all the guardians who were enslaved in my own realm. Their minds and memories have been heavily affected." Gaia says sadly.

 

"Our gods don't have that power, sans Xlentia. Which is why I believe she was targeted early. Rendering her unable to reset his work, the Hive Master could work on disgustingly effective hybrids to advance his war effort."
Ragnyon hesitates.
"At that... some of each of your children have been abducted by him and killed. Their magics were incorporated to his latest... disgusting experiments."

 

"What?" Tenebrae asks, holding back rage, her red eyes flaring.

"You can just remove them, right Tiffany? I could always disable the guardian's powers if I can locate them." Gaia asks, nervous.

 

"N-no... those children are d-dead... t-the twisted results a-are completely d-disconnected from your p-powers..." Ragnyon utters, nervous.

 

"WHAT!?" Tenebrae asks, engulfed in anger.

"T-Tiff, calm down!" Gaia says worriedly. The orbs lighting up the elevator shaft dim before exploding into darkness.

 

"T-this is what I m-meant... h-he did this t-to us..." Ragnyon stammers, terrified.

 

"Tiff, d-drink this, please!" Gaia pleads, holding up a large wooden cup, pleasant smells emanating from it.

Tenebrae takes the cup, downing the drink in one go.

"Ugh. Let's just find Phoebe and get you healed." Tenebrae says, still rather annoyed as the elevator shakes to a stop in the depths of the floating island. A magical field waits outside the elevator. Gaia and Tenebrae step through the field easily, though it seems to react as Ragnyon passes through on Gaia's hand.

"Alien lifeform detected. Quarantining..." A robotic voice says, before a crystal flies over to Ragnyon and encases her in a bubble, flying away with her.

"Hey!" Gaia says, trying to grab Ragnyon. Gaia's hand seems to phase right through the bubble, and Ragnyon is taken into a side-shaft in one of the walls by the crystal.

 

Ragnyon weakly struggles, screaming.
"WHAT THE HELL?!"
