Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Not helping." Virei'tus sighs, vanishing.

There's nothing too out of the ordinary other than that.

 

Gaia covers Milla's hide out with sand again, making sure not to fill it in, before getting up. Gaia decides to return to her original plan of heading to the city on the island.

 

"Yes, Aj, the other guardians, Thirteen, Crystal, and the rest of them."

 

"Ready?"
"Yeah, sure, let's go."
I jump through the portal, and look around to see if anything changed.

 

After a long trek, Gaia notices two figures standing near where the portal was, before jumping in.

Meh, the island awaits.

Back in Xlentia's palace, not much is different here either. Rumbling footsteps, however, suggest Xlentia is wandering about a bit.

 

I walk down the hall to the training area, checking for any traces of Xelentia.
"You good with going to the training area?"
"Yeah. Do you think they have dummies there? Like, just for getting used to handling a weapon without fighting someone?"
"Most likely. You'd rather use that for training?"
"I... I was thinking we could use them."
I smile at this.
"Good point. We can ask when we get there."
Pause.
"What were the names of the other polearm teachers?"
"Oh... I don't remember, I'll have to check."
"Hm."
I just keep walking after that.

 

One trace would be her tail sliding around the bend. She seems to be going outside.

 

"Ah, Tenebrae's king, correct? I believe Aj is the driving force between me and the other gods being here." Mortius says.

Gaia seems intriguied, heading over to the portal and poking her head through.

"Hello?" Gaia asks on the other side of the portal, only her giant head visible.

 

The portal isn't that big.

Plus, after any effort to peek through, nobody's in the portal room.

 

Gaia sighs, disappointed, before her hair and eyes turn silver and a pair of massive wings grow from her back. Gaia takes off, flying upwards before gliding toward the city.

 

The lights seem to flash red and cut off as the sun rises, albeit Gaia able to see the sun it before the city would.

 

Gaia tries to focus on what's causing the lights as she glides toward the city, curious.

 

There seems to be some sort of prism or crystal. She can only vaguely see the closest tower to her.

 

Gaia changes her flight path slightly, flying upwards again before gliding more downwards to increase speed.

 

The closer she gets, the clearer it gets...

...the city guard was not expecting a god.

 

Gaia's wings disappear as she changes her hair and eyes back to green, flipping in the air before she lands gracefully outside the city; albeit shaking the ground slightly.

 

The city guard has all weapons pointed at her, guards trembling.
"W-who are you?! State your business!" One utters, trying to feign courage.

 

Gaia doesn't seem scared at all.

"My name's Gaia. I saw the lights of your city and wanted to see what it was like." Gaia says happily, kneeling down so she doesn't look as massive.

 

The guards turn to each other, a few fainting.
"Y-you mean the goddess?"
"Can't be. She looks nothing like Gaia!"
"S-she's... certainly the size... and she's d-definitely immortal..."
"Please, just... shrink a bit if you want to visit..."

 

"Oh, I'm from an alternate reality! I'm sort of an alternate version of your Gaia." Gaia says happily, changing to her smaller form; though still towering over the guards slightly. Gaia walks over to the fainted guards and places her hand on their heads, restoring their consciousness.
