Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Gaia's hair and eyes quickly turn silver.

"S-Sorry!" Gaia says, looking rather afraid.

Gaia's hair and eyes turn to a light blue as she asks "A-Are you the alternate version of Lex?"

 

"You are not in the wrong, but neither is Milla, though I would like to ask who Lex is." Virei'tus says.

 

"He's the God of Light in my reality. His real name is Lux, and he created the Realm of Light for his children." Gaia explains, calming down as her hair and eyes change to a leafy green, somewhat matching the base colours of her clothing.

 

"I am interested in meeting him, if you and my sister wouldn't mind showing me to his domain. As for Milla, I ask you ease off her case. Sadly, it's how many mortals live."

Milla waves nervously at Gaia.
"Sorry to be rude..."

 

"Because I don't entirely know what happened to Vesius, I can only guess. Anything else we should know about this Sivius?"

 

"I can't show you his domain, but Tiffany should be able to! She brought Max and I here, so I'm sure she can take you and your sister back to our reality." Gaia says, smiling.

Gaia touches her finger into the sand, raising it as a small tree grows under it. The tree grows a large red fruit in the shape of a heart, small green seeds peppering the skin, which Gaia gently picks as the tree sinks back into the sand. Gaia offers Milla the fruit on her massive palm.

"Sorry for snapping at you. This fruit should heal you of any wounds or diseases you have, and extend your lifespan a bit." Gaia says, clearly feeling bad about getting so angry.

 

Milla accepts it, smiling.
"Thank you, but the apology is enough." She insists.

Virei'tus nods.
"Might she be at my sister's palace?"

"Unfortunately, I've told you pretty much everything I know." Lyxa sighs.

 

I turn to Crystal.
"Anything else?"
"...No, I don't think so."
Crystal stands up, obviously disappointed.
"Well, then, thanks for tolerating us probably disrupting your sleep, but we may be off now."
I say, turning back to Lyxa.
"Thanks for the information as well, and best of luck to your camp."
I smile.

 

Gaia thinks for a moment.

"You're Xlentia's sister!?" Gaia asks, slightly disgusted at the thought.

 

"What?! No, I'm her brother!" Virei'tus shouts.

Milla just stands there, confused.
"What the hell am I witnessing...?"

"It's not a problem at all. I hope you can forgive us for not being as helpful as you hoped."

 

"Oh, sorry, I meant Xlentia is your sister, heh heh." Gaia says, embarrassed at her mistake, her hair and eyes turning a deep red, as does her face.

 

"It's okay, we've still got places to explore, we might find him with the information given. Don't feel bad about it, really."
I look at Crystal, and he seems ready.
"Well, we're off. Goodbye."
I smile, and Crystal and I walk off, as i check where the moon in is the sky.

 

"Y-yes... what's wrong with that?" Virei'tus asks.

Lyxa waves before heading back inside.

Seems to be getting close to sunrise.

 

"Well, it's just...in my universe, your alternate forms aren't related...they're actually in a long-standing relationship." Gaia says, recovering from her embarrassment.

 

Virei'tus just looks at Gaia blankly.
"Uhm..."

 

"I was hoping to meet the guy..."
Crystal says to me, disappointed.
"Hey, we've still got three portals to go through, and we have no idea where in the world they go. For all we know, he's just on the other side of one of them. There might be more things in those worlds anyways."
Crystal doesn't say anything back.
"And, come on, it's a new day, there's probably someone to work on your weapon skills with you back at the palace."
Crystal doesn't respond once more, but seems to lighten up a little.
"Come on. We go back to the palace, do some training, and enter another one of those portals. How's that sound?"
"...Okay... I guess..."
"You up for running there?"
"...No, but..."
Crystal holds out a hand, and weakly smiles.
I smile back, taking his hand, as he shifts around me.
"Back to the palace we go!"
I say, flying off towards the portal.

 

"D-Don't worry! They haven't had a child or anything yet!" Gaia says awkwardly, trying to make the situation seem a little better than it is.

 

At the portal, there seems to be signs of someone else coming through, a rose being below the ice as well as other indentations visible heading towards the desert.

"Just... I'm not going to try and wrap my head around it." Virei'tus sighs.

 

"Infinite possibilities...!" Gaia says, giving an awkward smile.

 

"I wonder who came through..."
I look around.
"Do you think they were looking for us?"
"I don't really think so, we were only gone for a day..."
