Thanks, with the luck I got this time I would probably have a 1 or with a bit of luck, a 2.

 

Yep. I'm probably going to lose all the homework that I have due for the rest of the week considering I got lucky for once, but oh well.

 

So you all walk into the ruin next to the poles and there's quite a scene.

Inside the ruin there are a bunch of people in black robes in a circle, in like a kneeling meditating position, heads bowed. In the middle, there's an open grave with a big gravestone. There's something written on it, but it's too far away to read.

On the far end of the circle, there is another figure in black clothing. He, however, has purple adorning clothing, including a purple skull on his hood. He sits on a ruined throne, with two baby dragons with him, one on each side. The dragons are black as night, with green glowing eyes, long necks, and long heads.

Are the other scenarios worse or better?

Stealth: 11 + 2 DEX + 2 Prof = 15
Investigation: 8 + 2 INT = 10

 

Ooooooo, spoopy.

Stealth: 1+2 DEX+ 2 Prof = 5
Investigation: 20+ 2 INT = 22

One good, one shit

 

And of course the bad one is the one that matters more... Great.

 

You enter the ruin, and the figure in the throne does not notice you.

TBH 6 was one of the more combat-oriented situations. 5 would have given a pretty tough boss and a nature theme in the ruin. 4 would have resulted in a lot of long term problems.

1-3 ends up with the same storyline outcome, just different enemies. 4 would have explained the Fey stuff on a deeper level, but it's still explained anyway. 5 would also have. 6 is the most interesting one in my opinion, mainly because Dragons.

 

And I can speak Dragon :D

As you enter, you step on a twig. The figure on the throne opens its purple glowing eyes.

Also, for future referece, rolling a 20 on the dice (before adding stuff) is a crit, always passing, so it's more like a 42

You notice something off about the kneeling figures. They are not breathing, and their robes seem to have a tint of red in them. They are slouched over, and smell of death.

I have an odd thing for accidentally making extremely good decisions. In any game, though mostly strategy, I keep finding myself in excellent situations that I accidentally got myself into.

 

Stealth : 4 + 3 (DEX) = 7
Investigation : 9 + 3 (INT) = 12

It's been a long time since I done more than 10 with my rolls...

(And why we always need to do a roll while I'm on my phone. ;( )

 

Your lucky your in a forest. Various dragons act differently towards non-dragons. The forest-dwelling green dragons are by far the most "social" so it may be possible to persuasion check the dragons to your side.

Roll another stealth check to see if he saw you or not. It's going to be contested by his perception.

You enter the ruin, and you feel the glowing eyes of the man on the throne staring at you.

Your investigation turns up nothing

 

Alas in Infernal : "That's cool ! What is the use of this place?"

 

Nathan: "Guys, we've been spotted, but I think that this party isn't very lively."

Investigation: 2 +3INT +2mod =7
