Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Thirteen, Crystal."
I say, pointing, then shake hands.
"Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you!"
Crystal repeats my courtesy, but just waving, and a bit more cheery.

 

"The pleasure is all mine! So, you two came about a story?" Lyxa asks, smiling gently. "We have gotten word of a mythic wanderer drawing away the force that presses our extinction. He brought them back to their ruined homeworld, yet somehow word got back that he found the answer to one of his questions."

 

"The person we heard about it from said that it was a myth. Apologies if this offends you, but do you not believe so?"
I ask politely, as Crystal sits down, ready to listen.

 

"Myth? Haha, that's quite alright! He actually went out of his way to send a clone to tell me that our pursuer had forgotten about us! His name is Sivius, but that's the extent of what I know. Anything else can be found in any old storybook."
Lyxa pauses. "Why are you looking for him?"

 

I look to Crystal, and we both seem unsure.
"I thought it'd be fun. We heard about this 'wandering myth' thing, so we came here, maybe to see the myth, or talk to it, or... something."
I seem to agree.
"We're basically improvising by now."
"What about the rest of the story? What made... Sivius such a legend?"

 

"The fact that he used to be caught up in the war you likely know well if you are familiar with draconians. He's the only one to just... leave. He had his own goals, and he just... defied the gods, some Hive Master, and his allies. Sivius left; he said he wanted answers, but he'd never talk about why or what he wanted answered." Lyxa explains. "But above all else, he just walked away from everything... and for whatever reason, everything let him leave."

 

"What... was, or is, he?"

 

"He's a draconian, I can confirm that. It's just strange... the war he told sounded all-encompassing, but... he left. Turned his back, and the universe did the same..."

 

"But, much alike Crystal's not just a rock, he can't just be a draconian, right?"

 

"Correct again. Rumor has it that he was born from some kind of fissure through time. He's an alternate Fragment of sorts, whatever that means." Lyxa says, nodding.

 

I take a few seconds to think.
"So... how do we meet this guy?"
Crystal asks, interested.

 

"Unfortunately, that involves finding him. The biggest issues there are, A; last time I heard from him, he was walking alongside a ruthless killer who wishes for the universe to return to null, and B; he's somewhere roughly on the opposite end of the cosmos."

 

"A map would be nice for once."
Crystal growls to no one in particular.
"It would have to be huge."
"I'd take it anyways."
I turn my attention back to Lyxa.
"Is there an available name for this killer?"

 

"If our vessel was still intact we could show you our starmap, though it and everyone who could operate it is either destroyed or dead." Lyxa sighs. "As for the name, it... brings back too many grim memories for me, I'm sorry."

 

"It's okay, it most likely won't matter."
"But is it repairable?"
Crystal asks almost immediately after my comment.

 

Lyxa nods at you before looking at Crystal, concerned.
"Crystal, have you seen the wreckage? It's..."
She seems ready to throw up at the thought.

"...no, i-it's not."

 

"Oh... sorry. Just... saying ideas."
"So, this Sivius, we're not going to find him in just one place, if we do look for him."
I quickly say, trying to change the subject as fast as possible.

 

"H-highly unlikely, correct... I can't help you on where he seems to lean, either. His destinations seem utterly random."

 

"We'll keep a good eye out for him. What's he look like?"

 

"He wears a black robe with red detailings, says he can't see light or darkness, and carries around a light-imbued rapier with a darkness-imbued broadsword."
