"Chimera, hybrids, you name it. If it was rejected, it's here."

 

I look for one that would least look like they'd slap me if I got them off their book, or anyone that doesn't quite have a book yet.

 

That's... most of them. Nobody seems stressed or on edge.

 

"Well...I guess we shall cross that bridge when we come to it. It was a pleasure speaking with you, Xlentia, and I look forward to meeting you some time soon." Tenebrae says happily, before the connection is cut.

"Ow...my head..." I say telepathically, the connection remaining connected to me.

 

I go up to one, lightly tapping them on the arm.
"Excuse me? Have you seen a purple golem around recently?"

 

"Hmm? Oh, yes. Floor seven as of an hour and a half ago."

"You'll recover. I'll let you lie in my gold pile if that'll make you feel any better, hon."

 

"Yay high, large rainbow rocks as eyes?"
I say, putting my hand five feet above the ground.

 

"Yep. Seventh floor, hung a left from the stairwell."

 

"Thank you."
I say, going up to the seventh floor and taking that path.

 

It may be worth getting yelled at to call for Crystal, with all these bookshelfs...

 

"How was Tenebrae?" I ask, sounding hungover.

 

"She sounded nice. Gonna talk to the queen for me. And you... definitely need to stay home a while. You sound like you had a bit too much 200-proof."

 

And yet, a time limit is unbeknownst to me if there is one, so I'd rather take my time, walking at a fast-pace looking through the aisle.

 

"200-proof? The fuck is that?" I ask, confused.

 

After about half an hour, you find him with a book on birds.

"Pure alcohol?"

 

I walk over to him.
"Hey."

OOC: You've got a plan for this, right, cause Crystal's taking a break in the bunk room last time we checked.

 

OOC: Crystal finished resting and went to the library to kill time, unless he is willing to rest indefinitely

 

"I wish I'd drank some alcohol...fuck, my head is killing me...maybe next time, can you like...not use me to channel telepathy across a realm?" I say, slightly annoyed, "I think I'm gonna...go have a lie down...with Artemis...for a bit."

The connection is cut.


A long while later, Shadow Stephanie steps through a portal into Xlentia's Chambers, holding a voodoo doll and looking down guiltily.

 

She looks at the voodoo doll.
"You know I don't appreciate being freed from mind control then immediately threatened with death? Nor would anyone?" She asks.

 

The doll looks just like Xlentia if she was a draconian, cute button eyes on its face.

"I'm sorry." Shadow Stephanie says, swallowing all of her pride as a queen.
