"We can ask Emerald." Kyle offers.

 

"Lead the way."
I offer, picking up and sheathing my sword.

 

"She won't talk? Doesn't care I wasn't myself? The union of high gods grants me protection since I was posessed, and grants me a chance to talk it out before I resort to anything."

Kyle heads to the library.

 

I just follow.

 

"The union of high gods? What the heck is that?" I ask, befuddled.

 

It's a long walk to the archives... that proves fruitless.
"Shit..."

"A pact made between every high god. Gaia, me, Virei'tus, Chronos, et cetera."

 

"Gaia? Alright, now I know you're messing with me. There's no recorded information at all that Gaia's ever been in a pact with other gods. I'm pretty sure Gaia's never been in a normal pact either. Plus, Chronos? Chronos isn't a god! He sounds made up!" I say, laughing.

 

"Link me with Tenebrae."

 

"Even if I could get a connection to Tenebrae, I doubt I possess the power to merge a connection between you and her," I say, "You could always use the statue of her in the Shadow Realm, though. That's how I talked to her, it's sort of a line to her."

 

"Please. Your queen is actively holding something that will seal me." Xlentia says bluntly.

 

"Alright, hold on." I say.

A while later, Xlentia feels her telepathic connection extend past me onto someone, or something, else.

 

"...Hello?"

 

A short while later, Xlentia feels the connection extend further, before being traced.

"Who...are you? You're not one of mine, Lux's or Gaia's children...nor do you come from any of our realms...where and who are you?" A feminine voice responds, sounding extremely confused.

 

"I have only heard of you. My name is Xlentia, Deity of Decay. I... wanted to ask you if you could help calm one of your children. They are actively threatening my life, but I wish not to kill them."

 

"I've never heard of you before Xlentia, which is odd. I'm fairly sure I know of all the gods and deities," The voice responds, "Though, more to the point, which one of my children is threatening you? I understand the nature of my children can be a bit...malicious."

 

"The shadow queen has stolen my soul, copied it, and threatens me. Again, I wish not to be freed only to go to war with another god. On that note, might I request your name?"

 

"My name is Tenebrae, Goddess of Darkness. I shall speak to the queen of my realm. I understand voodoo is a scary and very deadly practise for the victim. I can only think that is what she's done if she has copied your soul, Xlentia, unless I am wrong?" Tenebrae asks calmly, sounding easy to talk to.

 

"Correct. But... I am the high goddess of darkness... Clearly something strange went down."

 

"You could not possibly the goddess of darkness. I am the only goddess of darkness over all realms." Tenebrae says, thoroughly confused.

 

"Darkness is my breath and blood. Perhaps... perhaps we are from different realities? I could not manipulate the darkness of your child, nor could he benefit from the darkness of The Void."
