Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

Strangely, Xlentia finds her soul feeling a little different. Not harmed or changed, just a slight odd feeling with it.

 

Panicked, she scans for anyone else nearby.
"The hell did you do...?" She mumbles to herself.

 

There's nobody out of the ordinary, but something appears to have a hold on her soul.

 

She tries to trace it.
"Fuckin mortals... I swear they just wanna overthrow us all..." She mutters under her breath.

 

It leads to...magic itself? The thing holding on to Xlentia's soul seems to be the essence of magic itself.

Xlentia soon feels her soul free again, but there's a ominous air left after it was held.

 

She seems furious, but doesn't say anything.

 

The sound of sinister laughter echoes through the air, Xlentia's chambers turning slightly darker.

 

Xlentia seems nervous.
"What do you want?"
Emerald seems to be working on tracing the being.

 

The laughter continues, growing louder and eviller.

Emerald notices a slight magic flux coming from within Xlentia's gold pile.

 

Xlentia stops.
"Shadow queen, I am not in the mood for trifling. Emerald, deal with any voodoo tricks she or her form try to torment me with..."
"Yes, mistress. Tablet?"
"Not that desperate yet..."
Emerald gives Xlentia an erasure tablet anyways. Xlentia just lays on it.

 

The laughter grows eviller, filling the room. Emerald notices another magic flux at the opposite end of the room, this one strong at first before dying down, as the laughter appears to double; coming from multiple directions.

 

Xlentia growls.
"Cut the shit."

 

The laughter dies down, and the magic fluxes seem to die down with it.

 

"Thank you..." Xlentia says, laying down.
"...but seriously, give me back my soul. No voodoo dolls."

 

There's no reply.

 

Xlentia checks for any missing pieces, impatient.

 

There's nothing missing from Xlentia's soul, but something definitely wanted it.

 

"Emerald, fetch her."

Emerald shows up at the palace gates, irritated.
"Xlentia wants to talk to the queen regarding her stolen soul. Even though it's not stolen."

 

"Is she going to try and crush the city again?" A guard asks, raising an eyebrow.

 

"She sent me so she wouldn't."
