He jerks back, taking the opportunity to throw another kunai - with such force and precision it cuts the head of the axe off.

 

I sidestep it, not discarding the small stick, and taking half a second looking at how far the kunai went, then looking back to Kyle.

 

The kunai's stuck in the barrier.
Kyle seems to happy take the half second to bring his blade upon you from above.

 

"You realise I'm pretty much of immortal status, right? Or at least closer to it than most." I say, looking up, "Besides, why would I want to kill the only connection to a dear friend of mine who sacrificed herself to save?"

 

I push my sword upwards, using the force needed to deflect his, and attempt to whap him across the face with the stick in my other hand.

 

"Why would a forest guardian take shots at Gaia?" Xlentia replies solemnly. "I don't care who you are, I don't care how close to us you may be. With this wound, I can't afford to take risks."

He ducks the swing, tackling you across the room as you can see his tail coming behind him.

 

I attempt to fend off what tail I see with my blade, while I wrap my arm around his neck and squeeze, attempting to choke him.

 

His armor is too heavy for that; you feel your body give before his armor!

 

I try to lift him up by the chest, throwing him off me if I can.

 

You can lift him, but he has a grip on you as well, your plating slowly being punctured by his claws as he tightens his grip.
He readies his tail for another strike.

 

I try bringing him closer with my left hand while fending off the tail with my sword. Once close enough, I plan to bash my skull into his nose.

 

On second thought, there's an inconveniently placed horn on his snout.
He hammer punches your shoulder, denting it.

 

Then I go for a head butt to his chin.

 

"Well, I can say certainly that I'm not the one you should be worrying about," I say, signing the paper, slight magic around my fingertips, "You shouldn't keep portals to your realm open, by the way. I don't have control over everyone in my realm, and news of a good portion of the forest guardians in the palace being recruited to grow flowers for your medicine isn't easy to stop from getting out; or at least creating rumours."

Artemis picks up Onyx again, who seems happy to be back in her arms, purring happily and rubbing her head against Artemis.

 

Upon headbutting him, you seem to have pussed him off and knocked out a tooth.
He takes the opportunity to slip a kunai into your neck.

"Noted. My chambers will be locked, and the portal guarded."

 

"I wish you the best of luck. A Shadow with a vengeance is an extremely deadly foe on it's own." I say, before taking my own portal back; Artemis following with Onyx, who purrs happily.

 

"I've got a thousand erasure tablets one mark off completion and an intact soul. My brother will finally come to back me up, so I'm ready." Xlentia says, concerned.
"Don't you dare die. Your journey is not over."

 

"You might want to check that soul of yours occasionally." I say, poking my head out of the portal before it closes.

 

"Correction, that soul wants to check on you occasionally." She utters as the portal shuts.
