Void Rift (rp) - Intermission

"Good enough to recall the ones they went over."

 

"That's stupid. You're a cat. Cats aren't monsters." Sapphire responds.

"In that case... What beats air?"

 

"w-where i came from, people hunted me beclaws a looked diffurent...they called me a monster, unnatural..." Onyx says sadly, tears running down her cheeks as she hugs Sapphire again, clearly discomforted.

 

"If you live in the shadow realm, you'll be fine. Everyone looks different there."
Sapphire seems confused.

 

Onyx suddenly goes limp and heavy, and Sapphire soon finds herself with a passed out cat-girl on her. It seems all the stressful situations she's been in exhausted her.

 

"Well, not vulcan, by what they went over, but if I had to guess, electricity, and..."
Pause.
"Well, I don't really have an extensive bank of elements available, could you give me some?"

 

Onyx feels herself dragged off a bit before drifting off into a deeper sleep.

"Earth, water, ice, dark, light, electricity, fire, vulcan, life..."

 

Onyx sleeps for quite a long time, nothing able to disturb her.


Once Onyx wakes up, she yawns, rubbing her eyes and looking around curiously.

 

She's in a room with a few threads strewn about, a hatch above, and Sapphire asleep in the opposite side of the room.
The room rythmically shakes up and down, as if walking.

 

"Electricity... earth, fire?"
I guess.

 

Onyx takes it all in for a moment, before realizing her current form and trying to stay calm.

Onyx gets up, heading to the hatch and resisting a slight urge to play with the threads.

 

Opening the hatch, she seems to be in a mechanical construct that's trekking through an... ocean?

"Two out of three. Try life."

 

Onyx looks around, rubbing her eyes to make sure she's actually seeing what she's seeing.

"oh no..." Onyx says hopelessly, climbing out of the hatch, "why did i have to go and get myself catnapped..."

Onyx curls up on top of the room, trying to keep herself as calm as possible.

 

The top of the hatch is the beast's back.

She can hear yawning from below.

 

Onyx steps back from the hatch, worried, glancing down at the ocean.

 

It's deep, but clear. She can see the beast's razor sharp claws even from up here.
The hatch opens.
"K-kitty? Oh, phew, I was worried you drowned... Someone came looking for you, so I took you away from here.

 

Onyx seems distrustful, keeping her distance from the hatch and occasionally glancing in the direction the beast is going.

 

The beast is heading to an island, no motion visible on it.
"I'm sorry, kitty. You said you were hunted, and when I overheard them looking for you, I-I thought I'd get you out..."

 

Onyx seems a little more trustful, though still keeps her distance from the hatch. She still looks like she might try and jump into the ocean at any moment.

"w-who were they?" Onyx asks timidly, her tail moving about casually behind her.

 

"Two reaper-lookin people."
