This is an interesting conversation.

 

I feel like what you guys need to take away from this is not a "new" teaser that's been shown but that a teaser is being shown.
And possibly more in the coming weeks...

 

Yea. It's not exactly brand new, and people shouldnt rely on constant teasers.

In my opinion, the content crew should stay a little more passive/quiet about the update so when it drops its a huge and amazing surprise instead of "k where's this feature? oh here it is." "new mobs. cool."

The build/content server is where all of the content is pre-launch on live servers. Ganon is actually right here, its only on the build server currently.

It's there so they can implament code/script, item sorting and reigions and bs like that so the thing ACTUALLY DOES STUFF *ghasp*

this stuff isnt in vanilla. it takes time.

Salted and I are in charge of the teasers not the content team. And there is nothing wrong with expecting it wanting a teaser we do them to generate hype.

Also shadowmage is a trial GM, he is fully aware of what the build server is and does.

 

True, it does make hype, but you should leave SOME features hidden xD

What I imagine what the Uth rune will be used for:

Since Nii runes are used to access the corrupted versions of Decrepit Sewers, Infested Pit, and Lost Sanctuary, Uth runes will probably be used for the other set of corrupted dungeons. Hell, maybe it will also be used for the next 3 dungeons only (Underworld Crypt, Sand-Swept Tomb Ice Barrows) and we'll get a 3rd rune for the Corrupted versions of Undergrowth Ruins and Galleon's Graveyard, along with some sort of super-hard corrupted dungeon raid to complete the pattern of 3 dungeons per rune.
Yeah, the second part of that theory is a big stretch, but it's something to think about.

Adding to this, the Uth Guardian will probably spawn in level 80-90 areas like Upper CoTL or Molten Heights, though, since Corkus is being released "soon", it's more likely the guardian will spawn in Corkus.

In the stream, the Corrupted Galleon's Graveyard was shown, so I'm assuming they've got all of the dungeons made in their corrupted forms (probably with the exception of Mortal Mountain).

 

Also, what I'm about to say is pure speculation, but there are 5 runes, and there will (eventually) be 5 provinces/main areas, Wynn, Gavel, Fruma, Dern and Corkus, it could be that each has their own rune for their dungeons- perhaps all Wynn dungeons use Nii runes, and maybe Gavel's elemental dugeons have been added properly therefore introducing the Uth rune for them (It's unlikely though xD).
