Problems With Item Drop.

I've found that when I've dropped my Items they despawn before I can get them. Is this a glitch or was this meant to happen? If this was meant to happen then why does the death text say Items Dropped even though I can no longer obtain those items. Why not just have it say items lost so I don't have to travel all the way to my point of death to check if all my emeralds despawned or not.

 

I'm pretty sure they just disappear if you die, not actually drop

 

This is what happens, though it's not supposed to. Issues with chunk-loading and "owner's property" mean that they despawn as soon as they're dropped, in most cases.

You were once able to go back and get your items, but it seems like this is no longer true, thanks to glitches.

 

I think the worst part of this Glitch is you can also drop equipped items, then they're gone forever. Do you think they plan on fixing that glitch? Because I just lost a rare bracer & a legendary ring just about now.

 

There is no glitch.
You drop items if you are low on soul points.

 

Im pretty sure the items actually drop if the chunks are actually loaded, but since when you die you spawn to the nearest town, the chunks would unload and the items would despawn

 

No, they stay if someone else is where you died. I was fighting orange wybel when one of my party members died, he dropped some emeralds which stayed there.
